ive been wondering about this for a while and a friend of me told me that i dont need a "module" to play vcd movies on my playstation1. He says that i only need a software that can read the vcd file.
can someone helpme with this!

I'm not an expert on things like this but I believe you can use a boot disk with the ps1 and once the boot disk has loaded you take it out and put the VCD in with mod chipping your console.
After my Dreamcast broke I bought another one second hand and it came with a VCD boot disk and Final Fantasy: The Spirts Within and this worked. Although I only watched 2 minutes of it because I don't really like watching VCD's, makes me feel dirty :)
