*just a little bump to announce, their new album 'Music For Artificial Clouds' will be released soon... it is already released in Switzerland actually, in France it will be released in April... don't know for the rest of the world. it will be a quite radical change - ambient this time! (well, they already did a little ambient on Only Heaven and Second Nature, on the last tracks...) if you want to hear what they are like, you can listen to the first track of 'Second Nature' in its entirety (well, ok, it's real streaming but that's better than nothing!)... they weren't like that at all in the 80's though (used to be more "dry", industrial and singing all in french, not electronic). |

its very naturish, alsmost ambient kinda i only have the one cd UZIM--------------get Comet, its a side project of the lead singer (io think), its more technoey |

it must be one of the very few bands/artists i enjoy every album of, despite switching from sample-rock to ambient to industrial to kurt weill covers. they're excellent. seen them live, last friday. excellent show, full of energy. and they played the whole "summer eyes" ! :D |

they're incredibly hyped in these parts and i have no idea why. i guess for same reason sonic youth and radiohead but im not sure. i don't hear it. |

how lucky i am to live in Wroclaw, they're coming to my town again this October ! and they're gonna play 2 gigs day by day. although acoustic - it's great to see them this often ! |

young gods are hilarious! i remember a video from them was on the Wax Trax records video compilation and they had this crazy guitar riff repeating in one of their its. On the video they had no guitars but a scary looking guy with sunglasses on in a darkened room hitting the space bar on an old computer to trigger the guitar sample. they showed it continuously through the video. This is my main memory of the Young gods. |
