the song's called forgotten cathedrals.

it's my very first ambient song
so I'm gonna need a lot of comments from you guys...
please listen to it... because I'm not sure if I suck at
making ambient or not...

Uhm I'm not satisfied with the transition at 1:56 yet, but
I'll be fixing that later...

whoa those are cool bell thingys, a voice just started
talking, this song is kinda trippy, i like it so far. is
that bell thing a sample or like a keyboard setting or what
is it? now there's a guitar type thing playing, kinda
reminds me of the first track of Double Figure. i like it,
good work.
8/10

the only thing i don't really like about it is it ends kinda
abruptly.

Yeah I forgot to mention the abrupt ending, I'll be fixing
too that later on...
the bell noises are those silver balls that you can make
bell sounds with if you move them in your hands. I don't
know if you've heard of it....
Anyway they're not samples. Just my balls ;)

I'll be fixing that too later on

Dude, I liked each track you made!

It reminds me of the movie Baraka and that female voice from
"I care because you do". Try adding some kind of a chant to
a background. Maybe if you chopped up some budhist chants
and played around with them to make them sound more
spiritual or something.

I have metal balls as well (hahahahaha), and I am pretty
good at rotating them (both hands, both directions without
making them touch each other).

This reminds me of some fcked up way I found out for making
ambient songs simply by using a cd player's ff|>|>

Now I am inspired, which means GOOD STUFF!!

Take care BRO!

Ok one tip
Budhist chants sound way too cool if you add a sound of wind
and tuvan throat singing.

thanks bro!
I'm thinking of where to get these sounds you mentioned or
how to create them maybe...

Try audiogalaxy just type "budhist" or "wind" or "tuvan".
In any way, I do have some budhist chant mp3s and some
awesome australian aboriginal chants, so if you don't find
anything just tell me.

Well, I don't know how much you care about riping off other
music, but it would be quite hard to create chants yourself.

hehe I'll think about it. It's a good idea. I just don't
like the idea of ripping off other music.

YOYOYOYOYO!
This is the abmient cd-player thing I was talking
about (I just made it).

So if you feel like doing something with it, go ahead,
otherwise it will just rot on my Hard-drive.

Who would say that Juno Awards 1989 cd will be worth
something ? hehehehe

hehe it's very bizarre!
I like it....
Good thing it doens't last very long, otherwise it gets
boring...
But it's nice... I like the idea...

I know. It took me like 10min.
If I was really working on it, it would come out good (with
rythm, some melodies and stuff). All I did was playing the
cd in fast-forward, stretching the sample without changing
the pitch and applying a lot of reverb.

but guys, should I continue making ambient or was I better
off making IDM?

Whatever you do, we will always be proud! hehehe Just
kidding.

See, I do not know. Maybe if you made a couple of more
tracks. You know, my first song that I made SUCKED and
everything else was just a better version of it. So I don't
know. Maybe you should continue since the one you made is
not bad.

Nexus 6, I like that song and I think that you would do well
creating more ambient, but the choice is yours ;)
