-Louis Wain.
A personal inspiration to myself, first and foremost as a
human being but also as an amazing artist with the ability
to flawlessly conjure the feline essence into and through
his brush..

I fucking LOVE cats, I must admit they make me turn into one
of those weirdo rambling psychos. ''Oh you cute kitty you
come here I squeeze you and your widdle paws your tiny nose
and tiny toes pretty widdle baybee'' and so on.

*rubs chin

I like cats.

I don't understand why God felt the need to make women..
What does a cat have that a woman doesn't? (besides the
whole..well, you know) They're capricious, scratch you for
no reason, they're always crying, AND they piss all over
your bedsheets...
I can't figure it out!

I love how cats can sit there and stare at you all day, no
matter what you're doing, even just sitting there. What are
they thinking? ARE they thinking? CAN they think? WHY are
they so damn adorable?

Cats are swirling enigmas..
They just lie on awkward spots of the carpet all day
shifting their ears and twitching their whiskers, picking up
vagrant radio signals - encrypted messages from faraway
galaxies...

We keep finding mice & shrews & voles that little Mortisha
(Tish for short) keeps bringing in...

Thankfully she's a very poor killer and altho the little
things are a bit scared & roughed up, once we catch em and
put em back outside, they seem ok...guess they have some big
tales to tell the cru back at Mouse HQ....

My fave cat thing is when they are asleep & dreaming...all
ears & whiskers twitching & the paws going; wonder what they
dream about, probably about how much damage they could do if
they just had thumbs....:)..

Ha, Opchecks...you are sooo right about the way they make
you speak...."ahh little tibtabs, gottanotha bitty mousey
for daddy"...very sad, but impossible not to do...

i love cats. we used to have 2 when i was younger.
unfortunately, i am allergic to cats. so until they died, i
was scratching all over and sneezing all day for, like, my
entire childhood...

fun, though...

Yeah, I know the feeling...

My cats occassionally do hunt for mice but obviously just
for fun. That's prolly why I have rats in the basement. Some
day ago, my eldest cat, Zakrpica, caught a mouse and was
just playing with it. I had to kick her ass to leave it
alone but the poor mouse was so fucking scared it would not
even run, it was frozen with terror, I had to encourage it
to get away. Poor little things... I found a mouse in my
stock-room too but I haven't got a heart to kill it. They
are sooo cute. In comparison with them, cats look like hairy
bullies. But, yes, when cats sleep they look so nice, all
that ear and whisker movement... And when they wake up and
start stretching and yawning...

As Lecoeur mentioned I have two have cats, they're brothers
- they like to chase little dogs! Hehehe! And when they go
scavaging for food around the neighbour (yes I do feed
them), they work as a 'tag team' one will drag the turkey
carcass up the road whilst the other 'trots' along behind
keeping a lookout for any sign of trouble....then they'll
eat it in my back yard, and then chew the bones!!

I love cats... my cat was put to sleep last year or so
because she was sick... cats are smart enough to be lazy and
cynical... dogs are stupid and are way to hyper and happy,
and LOUD!!!

Thats a great site Cabbog! I'm going to send some of those
pics to my Aunty :)

My family are big cat lovers. We have four cats:

Buster, the tom cat! He can't come inside much or he will
spray everywhere and stick up the place!

Bessie, she is Busters daughter. She is bossy and sometimes
rude but ultimately very lovely. And she is very very lazy!

Tinkerbell AKA Nin AKA Ninny AKA Nin-Mama!! Busters wife and
the mother of Bessie. Awesome cat, tabby. She is easy to
pick up, always loving and ready to play as well as the
class of any mother :)

Emily (or Emmy. We used to have a cat called Oscar, so we
wanted the Emmy awards aswell! And infact the name Oscar
comes from the TV show The Odd Couple). Emily is forever a
kittin. In about 16 years she will still be a kittin :) She
never grows. She is scared all the time and almost never
plays or does anything =D

My partners mum just had to have her huge male cat put
down...he was only 8 so was really young :(...She took it to
the vet as it was having trouble going to the toilet & when
they opened him up they found it was a huge cancer, so they
put him down then & there; there wasn't any way to save him,
poor thing...

The only bright side is that we're now on the lookout for a
suprise kitten for her...& even better, we're gonna use it
as a test to see how our current cat will get on with having
a kitten in the house...we've been thinking of getting one
ourselves but was worried how Tish might react...

(If it was up to me, I'd fill the house with cats &
kittens...)...

at long last, a thread about cats :-p
I sure do love cats :-)
We've only got one at the moment. He's 13 years old (called
"twietie" ;-), my mom claims i thought of that when i was
10... frankly i don't remember). He's become real lazy,
spends about 70% of his day sleeping, hehe.... but i still
love him :-)

When he was still young he was still very energetic though!
Climbing curtains, running thru the house, catching lots of
birds. Also he could almost leap from the other side of the
room right onto your lap :-p

These days he calmly walks towards me, CLIMBS my legs (with
his sharp nails, hm), slowly pulling himself up, and then
falls asleep on my lap.

I also love the way he actually wants my affection.
Sometimes he will sit by the couch with a look in his eyes
that says: "sit down NOW, i wanna cuddle", hehe.

(and then he starts to do that thing with his paws where he
sort of "massages" my belly with his nails... do any other
cats do that?).

The best thing about cats is that they've got a mind of
their own... a dog will just do exactly what you say, and
consider you it's master. A cat just does whatever the hell
he wants to do ;-) I think Twietie pretty much considers our
house HIS house, and we are more like his houseguests :-p

I used to hate cats as I kept having nightmares about them.
I'm not sure why. Any Freudians out there? It was always to
do with their claws.

However, my girlfriends brother's cats converted me. When
they were kittens they were so energetic and really fun to
watch. Now they're older they're just slothful.

There are also cats without fur raimons...

but frankly they really scare me

I mean that is one freaky cat! :-p
But it could be a solution for you, if you really want to
have a cat. I think the race is called Sphynx.

it's a cat alright... just a naked one ;-)
I understand you don't have any personal problems with the
fur. And probably think (like me) it looks cute and feels so
soft :-) But if you're allergic... that's a big problem. I
feel sorry for you.

Anyway, the text at the bottom of that page says the Sphynx
feels really soft... hehe... well maybe i could get used to
it. If i were allergic i might look into it, because i can't
imagine NOT living with a cat.

I'm not sure we should have respect for an animal that licks
its own arsehole clean. But then again dogs lick their own
balls so we don't have much to choose from.

awwwww

raimons...sorry about your allergy, i used to have one as
well and for some reason AFTER i got my first cat i just got
OVER it, it was bad for a few days but now i'm fine....and i
even have asthma =0)

you should try being around 'others' cats more and see if
your allergy lessens, it's the DANDER you're allergic to.

jand - advice on the grown cat/ kitty kot front. i have 4
cats, none of which i got at the same time. they hate each
other at first. what i did, just threw them in the garage
together at night, and after about 4 days a truce was
formed, then the started loving each other 'SORTA' and now
they all tolerate/love each other. =0)

EVIL - your descriptions of your kots was SO CUTE.....eheheh
i'll have to write mine out sometime, but right now i don't
know what i'm doing up at this EARLY hour......

*looks at cat asleep on my bed and decides to try to sleep
again*
