Some of the posters here are very good writers. There's a lot of wit and brainfood in some of the commentary by people like Ophecks etc.
I just wonder if a web message-board is the best place to expend this energy.
I'm looking at the last generation of great film-makers and writers and I notice that most of those from the sixties and seventies were actually in their early twenties when they began to create revered work.
- Do we have creators like that within the ranks of this generation, or are those types squandering their talents writing for small communities on internet message-boards?
(This is intended as an exercise in discussion-provocation, not a dig at the .nu community, which I participate in & enjoy greatly)

Giving any group of like minded people a forum will produce interesting results. We are in a kind of "cyber happening". If you tape recorded all of your conversations imagine how much cool stuff you would have.

I don't think this is wasting ideas or talent AT ALL! Hell, if not for the internet, I wouldn't know about this vast universe of electronics.
I am the ONLY person in my fucking boredom-ridden city who knows anything about this stuff... their musical tastes range from Eminem to Limp Bizkit to Linkin Park... such an eclectic group, eh? So this board is great for me, and others, I'm sure, who are stuck in Stupid-Land like I am.

I'm going to write a screen-play about my exploits on Aphextwin.nu... and then I'll get Steven Speilburg to direct it, and get Leonardo Dicaprio to play me, The_Funkmaster, and Carman Electra will play the role of Core, who will be my secret mistress!!!

Some people write books, some people even read them. The most creative writers I've read are nonfiction, that's what I might say if I ever read a book.

lol, that's funny because nonfiction writing really requires nothing but facts and a basic knowledge of composition. Fiction writing takes creativity.

I wouldn't want anyone to play me in a movie. I'd want to be CGI like Jar Jar Binks :)
Or maybe that really shitty Scooby Doo from the live action flick hahahahahahah!!!
