Dependin if the following is true, I will have a followup statement to give... I read somewhere that Richard and some other "idm" guys dont like autechre? is this true? if it is why dont they like them? |

They're jealous because Autechre are the supreme beings! And they seem like pretentious dicks... but EVERYONE does, except for Richard Devine and some other guys. I want to listen to RDJ's and Booth and Brown's music, but they seem hard to get along with in real life. AE are so sarcastic, ever read the Q and A session they had from fans at Warp? |

yeah, i saw an interview with richard devine on tv once (yeah! on tv - like in the middle of the afternoon, just out of the blue!!!) and anyways - he seemed like a super nice guy, it made me smile :) |

what makes you think aphex doesnt like ae? they have both mentioned talking to each other in interviews...they dont seem like theyre best friends or anything..but they seem to at least be friendly with each other.. and sean mentioned that they really liked drukqs in a recent interview and aphex has said before that he doesnt really listen to/like much music outside that of his close friends and his own...so its not really that surprising that he doesnt really care for ae's stuff |

im pretty sure that how ae, afx and many others behave themselves during interviews only reflects the image they want to send throughout the media, and not the real "them", like in everyday life. it's all a game. |

it made sense Cortex, and I think you are right, but it saddens me to think that people have to project themselves a certain why on television to be accepted. I would hope that if RDJ didnt like AE and vice versa, they would just not bring the other up, rather than lying and saying they do like one another... now let me ask you, did _that_ make sense? *doubts it* |

He doesn’t like Autechre, he doesn’t like, mmh, I don’t know. He likes the old things. „LFO“ is probably the last record he liked (laughs). He doesn’t like to carry everyone along. I don’t mind being on a label where there’s shit people. I don’t like that music on Warp either. And I’m aware that they benefit from what you do. They’re like „Oh, we’re on Warp“ and people take notice of that and then they buy their records and stuff. But it doesn’t bother me as much as Tom. But because he’s a good mate I understand what he’s saying. So we prefer to do it ourselves because it’s more pure. i think tom hates sean+rob, and richard likes sean+rob. but richard also likes tom. maybe sean+rob secretly hate richard for liking tom? that would mean tom sometimes hates richard for even liking sean+rob. maybe rob hates sean? maybe sean got in an argument with richard about tom, making richard fuss to rob about sean, making rob hate richard, making tom hate rob, making sean slightly dislike rob for hating richard, creating a slight liking for sean from tom because he disliked rob just that tiny bit. ...but also making richard dislike tom just a little bit for liking sean for disliking rob. |

richard and sean are good friends. tom doesn't like autechre but he is also completly out of his mind. also if you think about it squarepusher and aphextwin are 100 percent complete opposites on the spectrum. ae- constant SP- always changing |
