Drugs - really fucking boring

offline manicminer from Paris (France) on 2002-05-28 12:37 [#00238747]

Does anybody else find discussing drugs really frigging
boring? People who are into drugs often seem to talk of
nothing else.

A lot of my mates talk about them all the cunting time, and
it's SO fucking dull. Anyone who doesn't do drugs (or
perhaps doesn't do the drugs that a group of people are
discussing) ends up being completely alienated from the
conversation and it becomes a kind of "old boys club" for
drug-takers.

I think a lot of people who take drugs do so because they
themselves are really fucking boring and have nothing better
to do or discuss, and are too lazy to get off their fucking
arses and do something constructive.

And I'm not going to tell you if I do or don't do drugs, and
if so which ones I do, simply because I'm sure none of you
are interested.

For fuck's sake.

Hmmm, I don't do drugs but i often discuss them. That either
makes me a straight bluffer or a provocator, but an anomaly
anyway...

if you take drugs fine...it doesn't really need to be a big
issue, we are (nearly all) adults here.

I love drugs. This one time, in band camp, I got so fucking
caned...

Nah, doing drugs is fine but talking about them is like
talking about eating or shitting; pretty fuckin boring. I
mean, what's to say? My mate smokes loads of weed and drones
on about it sometimes. Its a subculture that people like to
think they're a part of rather than standing as an
individual.

However, there was this one time at...

Eh, this is the deadest drug discussion I've ever
contributed to...

However, manicminer does have a point: a lot of people doing
serious drugs are unable to talk about anything else...

It gets kind of cool when you do too many constructive
things and than spark a joint to unwind your wits.

I agree. Drukqs was a really boring album. And all the
people who really seemed to like it? I kinda felt sorry for
them.

there was a thread on this MB about things people have done
on drugs which was honestly interesting and a good fun
read....

but unless I am taking any (hardly ever these days) I avoid
people who ARE on them for precisely the reasons you
mentioned, manic ; especially strangers on speed who choose
YOU to be their conversation dump...

gits !

yeh i reckon its fun to talk about
but in moderation.
it does get a little repetitive.

but sometimes it can be quite interesting to read about
others' experiences.

It's OK to talk about them, But when people spend their
whole time chatting about the drugs they've done and the
best trips and won't let anyone else get a word in edgeways
then I get pissed off. It's more annoying when they say that
your one story of a drug incident is nothing compaared to
this one time.... Cuntymint wankers!

Manicminer, my thoughts EXACTLY... I can't add anything, you
said it all... people constantly ramble on to me about their
amazing drug experiences, as if it's interesting or
something. More often than not, they think they're cool
because they do it, think it makes them so much more
experienced in the world... you can just tell.

i love hearing about drugs.

I love the pain it causes people, i love the world drug
users live in when things are so great, and the world they
try to escape when everything breaks.

I love the suffering, when my hand was out to my friends to
stop, no one took it, I enjoy people getting theirs. When
people make fools of themselves, when people cry after they
do to much, drink to much, throw up to much. That is such a
great feeling.

I avoided all that, most people didn't, and I tried to help
them and they fuct off. Keep the drug threads comming, I
even enjoy reading "Trip Reports" online.

The sweet misery is payback to my soul until I can make
myself.

There's nothing wrong with getting a buzz from the pain of
others. It can be very satiating. Don't knock it until you
try it. I like to drive around the city in my BMW 3 series
and toss out of use five pence coins out of my window at the
homeless. It makes me feel warm inside.

I love homeless people!!!! Whenever I see a homeless person
I like to look at them as my car goes bye, because I'm sorta
fascinated with them!!!!! Same with hitchhikers.

But BlatantEcho. . . God he sounds like one cruel
sonofabitch!

haha, maybe you haven't been there, let me explain.

You are good friends with someone, hell, maybe you date
someone, and they get into drugs. Slowly at first, your
friendship unaffected, but more and more they don't call you
when they say, they ditch you when you agree to hang out.

They start to do other stuff, schoolwork start to go down
hill, and then you reach out. You put your whole self to
them and say you will help them, and they say they need
help. And then they fuck all. More drugs worse drugs. And
they die and you watch as you hold out your hand. They fuck
you for a few years and then you get out.

They have pain, but they can never feel the pain they caused
others, and they don't care. So I need to get someone from
all this hurt, and i have forced myself to derive pleaure
from my choices. So after knowing it, feeling it, bleeding
it, I can now sit back and try to make the years fade away.

So yes, I derive pleasure from other peoples pain, but
unless you know the pain in me, from them, my friends,
you'll always be able to call me a "cruel sonofabitch"

I agree, it's like groups of friends that aren't actually
friends- just "drinking buddies". You see them when they're
sober and they hardly know each other.

Smokers (when in the majority) often ignore non smokers too.

Fuck drugs, they are for loosers. its seems so parentlike to
say it, but i tried some weed, and i hated it. why slow
yourself down?

people should find something else to be interested in. i
dont even drink alcohol as a sidenote... =) you should try
it, its really fun to be at a party, and you can remember
everything that happened, and its much more intense.

Does anybody else find discussing Aphex Twin's music really

A lot of my mates talk about him all the cunting time, and

Twin's music (or
perhaps doesn't like one of his tunes that a group of people

Aphex Twin-listeners.

I think a lot of people who listen to Aphex Twin do so

(common ppl talk to each other about things that connect
them such as common intrests, hobbies etc. If you feel left
outside when your friends talk about things they do maybe
you should get new/better friends or hook on...)

just as like some people who dont do drugs are boring as

Actually, I don't think this topic should exist, either...

If you find it boring, don't click on the drug topics.

Just like if you don't like... mmm, say, Global Goon. Don't
click on the Global Goon topics. There's people on here that
like to discuss drugs, so let them.

Those no good junkies. ;-)
