Mr Arch: Future Sound of London are ace, it's kind of like deeeep drifting spacey jazz-electronics, they do huuuge concept albums with loads of mad piled sounds and beats, really intricate and detailed. Not really Warp-style, more like Martian breakbeat/techno/prog-rock stuff. Lifeforms is a cool LP, as is ISDN, but get hold of the Papua New Guinea single if you can, it's the best they ever did . . . They haven't done anything in ages. Perhaps they are dead. |

Fuck me REFLEX... I'm not having a go at you, but you are wrong-o-matic. There's nothing wrong with having opinions on music, but at least try and have a clue what you are on about before you open your gob. Dub is a form of reggae music invented by King Tubby in Jamaica in the late 60s, which involved taking existing reggae tunes, stripping them down to the bone and then applying spectral effects as parts of the tune fade in and out of the mix. Jungle was invented in England in the early 90s and came out of the Hardcore scene. It is a mixture of rolling sub-bass and complex drum programming, and usually clocks in at about 160-170 bpm. So as you can see, slightly different. |

Im sincerely glad you enjoy music as much as you do - whatever it is good on you my opinion is there is a lot of very easily accessible excellent music that you shouldn not be diverted from and should not championed if it is diluted or copied we all learn more about music every day and if you cant enjoy something, maybe your missing out. on the other hand, maybe youre creaming the best of life to the full. i agree with everything everyone said above btw ha ha you ought to check those ones i mentioned though coz they are all wicked they were the first ones that popped into my head which was dependant upon my mood at the timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee |
