the video was pretty catchy...

Blah, no way. I can't stand progressive or hard trance that
much anymore. There's very few exceptions, but this is
defintely not one of them. But hey, if you like it good for
you man.

oh god...... i HATE darude! (at least what ive heard of
him)

ive heard that stupid "before the storm" song..... and some
other one that theres a video for and they sound EXTREMELY
similar
and the music is just SO boring, repetative, and
predictable

ya, its catchy, ill give it that

whatever it is classified as... im not a big fan

hm. it's just a trance track and nothing more. but if there
were some good trance tracks would you know them?
((i think this sentences is completely false))

It's good for what it is... which is trancy dance club
techno, which I don't really care to much for these days,
they just played the shit out of that sandstorm track....
ohhhhh the repetition

offline Asche XL on 2002-05-25 22:27 [#00234905]
Points: 4241 Status: Lurker

yeah, im not saying its mozart

just good ole fashion fun dancy music, turn it on for about
20 min, then pop in some ae or afx

I'll bet that's nothing compared to how much they played it
here in Finland. No finnish artists had never really 'made
it' abroad before Sandstorm and Freestyler so our media
seriously overplayed them both.

If you want to pop in some trance music, I'd pop in Sasha's
Xpander EP.

Darude is awful. I´d pick Britney or N´Sync over him
anyday.

Oh, that's just because most of their songs are by Max
Martin, isn't it? :)

Max Martin is the source of all evil.

I think he must be a pretty smart guy, talented musician.
you listen to her songs, they may be bubblegum pop but at
least they don't all sound the same and use same chord
structures....repeatedly (IMO)

Only Darude I've ever heard is ''Sandstorm'', and only
because they used to play it at Montreal Canadiens' games.

Trance crap, ya ask me...

I personally find every single song he has ever written
utter crap.

He does manage to constantly write songs that sell
tho: Britney, Backstreet Boys, N'sync, Bon Jovi, you name
it. And that's a pretty powerful talent.

I don´t care much for the Cheiron(Max Martin and
companions)material that´s flooding the world (Britney,
N´Sync, Backstreet Boys, etc), but you can usually sence
some sort of quality in it in terms of songwriting, which I
can´t say for shit like Darude.

After this conversation, for the sake of Finland's
reputation I do think I have to mention Astrobotnia. :)

you have nothing to be ashamed of , many many excelent
electronic musicians in finnland.

And actualy i found the finnish contrubution to the
eurovision song contest to be the least crappy one =)

despise it, well the north american version of "rave"
anyway], but he was extreemly popular for about 3 months.
