I think argentina is very strong this time more than ever. brazil seems to pass a bad era but you never know with such a talented team. France is very strong again (zidane, vieira, thuram, lizarazu, pires, henry, trezeguet...) one of my favourites. for me: france and argentina are the best teams nowadays, very solid in defense and killers in attack Italy, brazil and germany (as always) will be there on 1/4 finals or further England seems to have a chance, better than in the lastest editions. Spain always presents a good team but we dont have the winner spirit that others have... we use to have bad luck... and we always come back home before we expected...sad but true. netherlands is the big absence here... we will miss some of this stars |

I hate football. I get so pissed off when people go on a rampage through town because the team lost. Infact they do it when we win. Why? What does it gain. It's fucking stupid. All they do is kick a bit of leather round a field and they get deified. |

germany lost to croatia 3-0 last world cup and since then, most of their best players (klinsmann etc) quit. but they're still germans ofcourse, they always score in the final moments :) france have the strongest squad still, i think. although belgium beat them, a few days ago |

I agree with you Nac. Definitely my favs are ARGENTINA and FRANCE, then I say ITALY, BRASIL and GERMANY and like outsider SWEDEN, ENGLAND and SPAIN. |

ITALY - so hard to beat , so mean . easy draw. winners .. put on £10 @ 6-1 and get £70 back. FRANCE - Good but injuries and a tough draw. Arrogant . Old defenders. losing semi-finalists. PORTUGAL - Very solid . unity . winning mentality . Easy draw . Losing semi-finalists . ARGENTINA - cynical . know how to get results. could reach the final, but I don't think they can win it ENGLAND - Pah . Need a miracle to reach the last 8 . On the first plane home . Unless Eriksson really IS god. SPAIN - make such hard work of it every time. Quarter Finals at best. they know how to disintegrate. GERMANY - Last 8 is their aim and they'll just about do that . Only one really good player (Ballack) CAMEROON - the best chance of a shock or two HOLLAND - weren't good enough to qualify . I wish you would all get it into your heads .. you are NOT unlucky , just dissappointing . BRAZIL - easy draw. you never know... :) |
