according to Jonathan Ross, could it be true?? Can it be
any worse than episode one?

why duz everyone hate ep 1? sure it wasnt as good as the
originals, but it wasnt a bad film in itself.

I didn't even understand the story from Ep I.
The acting wasn't that good either.

Man the old stuff is so much better than the new episodes.
They think just because they have computer generated special
effects that it will be great.

The new special effects suck. The old models look so much
more realisitic. The new effects will look so dated in a few
years.

I agree with Gigi. There seems to be too much special
effects, and not enough good things.

I don't like Annakin at all.
I can't wait for him to turn into Darth Vader.

Jonathan Ross said in his review that he couldnt understand
the story from episode 2 cos it was too complex.

he even liked episode 1 so it doesn't sound too promising
for episode 2...

i'll still go and see it but i'm not expecting much.

Wow, Jonesy lives in Pontypandy.

supreme: I think Episode III. That should be nice. In 2 I
think he just smoochies with the Amidala girl.

I hope Sweden is right!

does jarjar dies in ep II ??? if he does, i'll love epII no
matter how bad the acting is or how stupid the title is or
how much stupid fxs they use

I've read that not only does Jarjar not die, he tries to
speak normally as a senator or something.

ive seen the action scenes with yoda and its awsome!!!!!!!!
i dont like some of the new effects either but im looking
forward to see how anakain turns over to the dark side. I
love the palpatine character. he was my favorite in return
of the jedi and he has that evil voice in this new one.
yeah!!!!!!!!

room full of different species adn senators, one of the
species was about 3 E.T.s...no joke! go back and look!

I don't think I'll bother watching it.

I saw Episode I the second day it was out in the cinema and
Me, my brother and two mates of mine were the only people in
the cinema!!! On the second day!

Weird after seeing all the Americans queing up for weeks
before the opening and camping outside and shit.

The thing is, if they tried passing the original ones off on
a modern audience, with modern technology (cgi... etc), it
wouldn't last a week.

taxidermist: cgi or not the original star wars films are
excelent...

and a few years back they re-released the trilofy with
improved sound and special effects... and they were
excelent.

offline pantalaimon from Winterfell (United Kingdom) on 2002-05-10 12:34 [#00213794]

i dont think the special versions was good. the scene with
jabba the hut in "a new hope" was embarising. it wsa just a
way for lucas to give star wars more attention til the new
films. there are so many scenes that could have been fixed
but instead of that they fucked it!

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2002-05-10 12:37 [#00213800]
Points: 9958 Status: Lurker

Yeah, I know they re-released them. But their success was
baised out of the fact that they are classix, not story, or
acting, (or concept), or much of everything else.

The thing is, the star wars franchise is dated.

Mind you, I am looking forward to the new one.

Here I am. Star Wars episode numero one was a pile of cack.
The new one will be just as cack and the sooner you maggots
realise you've been duped into parting with your hand earned
cash so that George Lucas can extend 'Skywalker Ranch' (how
cheesy can you get?).
