"guys get into each and every note,
which is cool as hell "

Yes, I do get into each and every note, I like to watch as
the music progresses and I also like to understand how these
singular notes fit into the rest of the song, and perhaps
when the musician will refer back to those notes some other
way later on in the song, or in other songs, even.

"how the music sounds,
how it makes me feel....it is VERY much an emotional
response UNLIKE some men"

I find that, for me, analyzing these notes will bring on
certain feelings, even though it is a very technical way of
listening. Sometimes tunes will bring me to tears, that's
how intense I can be listening. But at the same time, I am
am listening to the notes them selves, as well as "getting"
it.

As for men and women, there's no mystery, really. Just two
level headed folks who love each other. It's quite a
healthy thing to be with someone you love and can live with.

that last post should read as a follow up to LeCoeur's
lengthy post.

I like to play single notes over and over by rewinding the
CD. This way I can REALLY analyse the notes.

wow lecouer's pissed (as in angry) :)

I don't expect everyone to like aphex... i just wish my
friends would be more open-minded. I really do belive that
it's incredibly beautiful, complex music. They just don't
give it a chance cause it's "techno".

yeah, LeCour gets angry, and she still throws in a
"ehhehehe"

she's even nice when she's angry... :)

it is true though, this is a big generalization... that's
why I said it would be interesting to actually test it out
and see... but, based on what you said LeCour I might also
bring up this point... Women are more interested in how the
song makes you feel, whereas Guys are more interested in
each note and all that... well maybe guys are more likely to
really search a song, like an Autechre song, for that
melody, and maybe we are more ready to appreciate a crazy
drill'n base track like something off of Drukqs or
something... but yeah, we're getting into dangerous
territory with this topic... :)
