Ok, I want everyone to know that I am NOT trying to look
for sympathy or anything....I am here at work and ALL of you
guys are the ONLY people I really have to talk to during
this LONG night....

This afternoon I was told by the veterinarian that my Dog
has cancer of the stomach.....This just floored me beyond
ALL belief. I am still in shock and cannot think
straight.....
I just wanted kinda get this off of my chest...I probably
wont be posting too much tonight, I am just hardly in the
mood to be alive let alone post....

The worst part of losing a pet VERY close to you or having
the Doc say they R very sick..Man its just the WORST feeling
ever. I feel so helpless and I do not know what is going to
happen...Tests are being done overnight tonight and I will
know tommorow...Man, life REALLY fucking sucks.....

=(
Thanks for listening everyone....Sorry to take up any time
or space out here.

-IL

I'm really sad for you and your dog, iron. In 2001, I lost a
dog too and I had bad days too.
I love animals and especially dogs so I understand what are
you feeling... :(

bad one ironlung, feel for you man.

i work for a veterinary company and some of the people here
who take orders on the phone get blamed for killing peoples
pets by some vets who forget to keep their medicines stocked
up.
so people who just do order entry have vets giving tham
stick on a monday morning saying "you've killed some little
girls dog at the weekend."

All you have to do is form no emotional attachment to anyone
or anything, then you have nothing to lose. It's quite
simple really, I do it. I spend ALL my time in a box.

lose yourself and all your worldly needs and desires, that's
what the most recent budah realized. I used to take his
elephant for a walk when he went on vacation, nice guy.
(such a hyprocrite though, owning an elephant, he'll
probably cry himself when it gets trunk cancer and dies or
soemthning)

Ironlung; man!!! I feel sad for you I know how it feels,
which wont make you feel better, but I hope, and know that
youll cheer up someday! There is nothing you can do but wish
for the best, thats all man. Best thing to do next time you
can is talk to someone you know in person about it heart to
heart always makes you feel good to talk about it. Lately
ive been going through some rough shit with certain people
in my life and issues that I can never seem to let free....
I talk with my girlfriend or closef friends about it.

Yeah I am with ya on this one REFLEX, I will need to talk
about it in person to a close friend or family member....

I know it sounds kinda lame to get THIS SAD about a pet, but
I am a BIG softy and loved that dog with ALL my
heart....Probably cared more about her than 95% of the human
race....

=)

Ironlung: keep strong man! its ok. men are .. allowed to cry
or get really upset during times like that man. its cool, I
would feel the same if my dog now died or was going to soon,
so its ok. and yes, please.. talk to someone close a friend
or something about it, be serious theyl understand totally.

w M w: Good theroy about not attaching to anything so you
wont lose anything but in doing that you've already lost. I
bet Ironlung feels that the bad feelings he has now are
worth having in order to have all those good years he's
spent with his dog. If you have nothing to lose, you havent
gained anything at all.

I've been in a similar position as you iron. I lost a
hamster a while back. It was a bad time. We are all cool
people here, I'm glad Aphextwin.nu exists!!! :)

sad to hear this Ironlung. I lost a bunch of cats over the
last several years: roadkills, dogs, poisoning... It always
hurts and I know what you mean when you say you care for
that dog of yours more than for 95% of human race and I
support that. Animals are often more worthwile of our care
and attention than most humans. So it hurts to watch them
die especially knowing that they can't understand what is
happening to them and can't find "spiritual" comfort that
we, humans always somehow find... It makes you wanna scream.
If I believed in god i'd hate that being for eternity... But
this is life, my friend and life is made of joy and pain.
None of these would mean anything without the other and
that's the best I can offer you...

most ppl how lose their pets immediately get a new one after
it dies.... i find that so plastic, as if pets are
expandable. i wouldn't want to forget my dog yoda that
easily

think a frog would make a better yoda than a dog.
