permanent.

i like how the concerned author pretends not to be aware
that by definition for there to be sexual dysfunction the
patient must feel distress about their sexual life.

quite liking this post on the ghastly r/PSSD grief farm

My anxiety is back is this a sign recovering?

hadn't heard of r/pssd

Been off meds for more than 2 years now. Still no libido
and still have genital numbness. Like I could go for an
entire year without having even the slightest urge to
masturbate.

Tried watching porn and it’s like my brain doesn’t
understand why they are doing what they’re doing. Is this
part of the pssd?

I literally feel asexual and when someone in porn is for
example squeezing a breast it just seems so weird and
foreign to me. Does anybody else experience this?

and

I Think I May Have PSSD Only After Taking Sertraline A
Couple Times. Am I Crazy?

Exactly what the title says- My doctor prescribed me
sertraline for my OCD about a year ago. I took it only a
couple times (4-5 times), before I decided I didn't like the
side effects, and then I stopped cold turkey. Since then
(and keep in mind this was a year ago), I literally can't
feel anything when I cum, I struggle a lot with getting
erections, my dick has very low sensitivity, and I have so
much brain fog- really struggle to get motivation.

I'm just wondering if this sounds like PSSD and if it's
possible to get PSSD after taking sertraline only 4 or 5
times then stopping cold turkey. Any advice is greatly
appreciated, thank you

Surely this can't be people complaining about sexual
dysfunction…? These must be user testimonials from happily
neutered people.

truly it is shocking when people with a history of

offline Tony Danza from r/semenretention on 2025-01-26 22:21 [#02640678]

yeah the problem is that he obsessively wants his sexual
function back, not that his sexuality is ruined.

I'm also seeing lots of cases of people taking SSRIs for
anxiety who end up with anhedonia. Guess that's normal and
good too.

tfw you're extremely sceptical of SSRIs but you're
functional enough that you don't feel the need to latch onto
the first reactionary outrage train that comes along

no but it's good that vulnerable people in distress have
places where they can share their experiences, like r/PSSD
and r/Gangstalking

to all the middle age men in this thread who can't get it
up, don't feel so bad. take a look at our stud thad. does he
strike you as a sexually functional fellow, poor guy? you'll
be all right. you'll find a way.

Are antidepressants making you asexual? Are antidepressants
making you fat? Are antidepressants causing irreversible
changes in your neuronal pathways, leading to -- but not
stopping at -- gushing about youtube videos by Teh Flashblob

...and do you want more of this, in spades? along
with feeling like the color has been sucked out of the trees

¹ typically, the average risperidone patien^H^H paying

if anything i have natural 11/10 feelings on most everything
in all directions. like, i'll be hungry, and think, "i want
xyz for lunch but i don't have any" and then THIS IS
TERRIBLE EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE and it segues into a laundry
list of gripes about how we don't have frozen sliders
because INSTACART SUCKS and we don't have a car because the
baby boomers ARE SUCKING THE LIFE OUT OF US ALL and etc.
etc. and then as this storm is raging the body is moving
down to the freezer and SHIT THERE IS STILL ONE IN THERE and
the joy i feel is approaching levels normal people might
feel at the birth of their first child.

which is sort of why, i suppose, my preference is to keep
the full blast of it intact.

the real problems are more like ~ get 11/10 mad at something
trivial, tear into someone with 11/10 rage, then feel 11/10
despair because what have we done?! that was a stupid
thing to blow a whole relationship up over

also. do some pelvic floor exercises before you give up on
your dick... or whatever. so many people treat their body
like some mysterious distant land and THE GODS SEND US LESS
MORNING WOOD is just something that comes in like a
low-pressure front and... maybe you can do something about
it? try some cardio

This whole thing is very strange. At least over here in the
union of europes, the medical information in the box
explicitly mention sexual dysfunction as a side effect,
noting that it can persist for some time after
discontinuation of treatment. It's done so for years if not
decades, I've never not been aware of it. It's not a big
smoking gun.
"PSSD advocates" I can find are almost exclusively antivax
cranks and other disreputable sorts and there's a distinct
manosphere stink* to the whole thing. I'm not sure what's
going on or why they've chosen to latch onto this now.

(*: Finasteride is for hair loss, completely unrelated but
the guy is very active in PSSD advocacy as well. Reason is
PFS and PSSD are both cucking diseases.)

UK and US doctors definitely seem to be more than a little
medication happy, including with children (who you
definitely shouldn't give SSRIs to without a very good
reason). One important aspect cranks and culture warrior are
uninterested in mentioning is that GPs are prescribing more
because mental health services don't have enough resources.

A separate recent poll of 1,001 GPs in the UK by stem4
found half of the doctors reported that overstretched NHS
CAHMS services are now rejecting 60-100 per cent of all
referrals for moderate to severe depression and anxiety
disorders in young people. GPs are being told that their
patients are not sick enough to warrant specialist
treatment.
According to one GP, who had unsuccessfully tried to refer a
suicidal teenager to NHS mental health services in the South
East of England, the CAHMS consultant psychiatrist advised:
“Oh, they hardly ever end up killing themselves… Just
manage in primary care.”

So yes, if there is a public health crisis, as usual you can
blame budget cuts.

CDC orders mass retraction and revision of submitted
research across all science and medicine journals. Banned
terms must be scrubbed.

The CDC has instructed its scientists to retract or pause
the publication of any research manuscript being considered
by any medical or scientific journal, not merely its own
internal periodicals, Inside Medicine has learned. The move
aims to ensure that no “forbidden terms” appear in the
work. The policy includes manuscripts that are in the
revision stages at journal (but not officially accepted) and
those already accepted for publication but not yet live.

In the order, CDC researchers were instructed to remove
references to or mentions of a list of forbidden terms:
“Gender, transgender, pregnant person, pregnant people,
LGBT, transsexual, non-binary, nonbinary, assigned male at
birth, assigned female at birth, biologically male,
biologically female,” according to an email sent to CDC
employees.

[...]

What can and cannot go forward appears to require approval
by a Trump political appointee, an explicit requirement for
any public health communications under the Trump
Administration’s gag order. That’s slowing many things
down. At present, there is only one political appointee in
the entire CDC, acting Director Susan Monarez (plus her
personal assistant, who is not a scientist). It’s unclear
if some decisions may be devolved to lower officials. For
example, if a paper is pulled because it simply mentions
gender, it is unknown if anyone other than Monarez possesses
the authority to approve its resubmission.

dang, between this and the r.f.k.j.r. nonsense, i wonder if
something might be going on. nah i'm probably overreacting.

I have no libido but due to the last bit of abdominal
surgery.
I’ve tried most of the anti depressants and not one has
worked. They moved on to LSD and now are talking about
intravenous ketamine infusions.
I spend a lot of time crying, often not sure why.

As for libido and these meds, it happens and like Juliette
says it’s well known. Depression itself usually lowers
libido anyway. It just shows some people don’t need the
meds.

I was so low I’d accept treatments but nothing has worked.

I know reading the word "gender" is triggering your
programming, but I hope you realise that letting an
embittered anti-science cult control health policy is going
to result in a lot more people dying, including nice white
heterosexual women and men.

Um. This bit.

How many manuscripts are affected is unclear, but it could
be many. Most manuscripts include simple demographic
information about the populations or patients studied, which
typically includes gender (and which is frequently used
interchangeably with sex). That means just about any major
study would fall under the censorship regime of the new
policy, including studies on Covid-19, cancer, heart
disease, or anything else, let alone anything that the
administration considers to be “woke ideology.”
