The racist thread has now become a supergiant sun-- not yet
a black hole (sorry, african-american hole), but it's close.
There are too many threads orbiting it, and this is the last
one I will make. I'd *like* to talk about autechre or
something, but let's face it no one replies to an autechre
thread in 2024. The people have spoken and they wanna talk
about politics and self immolation.

Somewhere between 2004-2006 I had an interaction with you
that has, in some ways, altered the way I communicate
online. I don't remember the initial comment you made, and
the memory of my reply is also vague, but I think I looked
at what you said and typed:
--
"dog_belch your reply was
[ ] helpful
[x] not helpful"
--
*I think* that's what I said anyway. Either way, I'll never
forget your 2nd reply, and this IS verbatim:

"I don't know who you are so fuck whatever that's supposed
to mean to me."

I didn't take offense, I didn't stew over it... but what I
did do was say "he's right." Ever since that day, I consider
if my reply *means anything to the person I'm speaking with*
and have aborted many, many posts on account of it, both
here and elsewhere. I have also, generally, avoided replying
directly to you for years; not because I'm afraid of a
response, but because yeah, who the fuck is wolfslice.

Compared to 2004-2006, there's way less of us now. You
*probably* have an idea who I am, but does what I have to
say mean anything? I doubt it. But today I'm gonna break my
own rule that you helped design and say:

I don't agree with you on everything. I think you're
relatively closed-minded when it comes to immutable physical
characteristics (but so is big, on the other side), and are
less inclined to recognize that not everyone will feel at
home in their "home culture." Maybe you don't believe this
is the case, or maybe you simply pretend it's not gain the
upper hand in online exchanges. Either way, you are
certainly bad at acknowledging what's certainly a strong %
of outliers.

When it comes to today's enforced ideologies, we agree. We
both probably would acknowledge the progressive left's "woke
initiatives" lack academic rigor in their inception, as well
as any sort of proven efficacy in their application. We both
know that the wokeism is simply made-up, destructive,
pointless, and there is no better way to say it: a
completely fucking retarded method of self flagellation,
culminating in the worst cases in setting your own stupid
woke ass on fire.

But when YOU'RE trying to make your case, I feel you resort
to personal attacks and insults in a way that diminishes
your point and ultimately makes YOU feel bad. I've seen you
now genuinely apologize several times for going "a bit too
far." Is this something you'd acknowledge? Are you capable
of stopping it before it happens? The way "I don't know who
you are so fuck whatever that's supposed to mean to me"
worked on my end?

I know this place is phobiazero's corpse and we're all just
having sex with his dead, swedish ass. It's not *really*
important. But if you can manage to state your case in a way
that doesn't single out other people, I think you'll carry
less baggage and be happier for it.

I hope you have a good day regardless,
wolfslice

P.S. I already know the best response to this thread:

---
---
---
""I don't know who you are so fuck whatever that's supposed
to mean to me."

when I was like 16 my "rap name" was B Esquire

I remember a verse

"B Esq bury is face in your hairy fairy
fuck a Virgin Mary I'ma quire my dairy
truth me told I'ma go for the gold and hit the
old LADY,
coming up hard and shady
want's me to put it in her butt but Esq rides the court case
open and shut'

quire = squirt in 2nd line. maybe quire is better.

quire:
any collection of leaves one within another in a manuscript
or book.
"the scribe numbered the quires of his manuscript as well as
the leaves"

25 (formerly 24) sheets of paper; one twentieth of a ream.
"the package contained two quires of tracing paper"

Dear Wolf. There is nothing I can say by way of reply that
would give you value for money for your considered post,
save that I greatly appreciate you taking the time, and if I
could take back what I said to you, I would do so in a
laboured heartbeat.

At the end of the day, and this is not an excuse, I do have
some kind of personality disorder and I make it worse by
drinking too much. Day to day I don't recognise the person I
was. My life is an absolute toilet, a textbook in what not
to do. I say deeply stupid things and immediately regret it.
My mind seems to flip between 3 or 4 witless personalities.
All I would say to you, you who have a life and a proper job
and the love of a good woman, is to ignore me.

I just apologized to epic too the internet makes us all
dicks.

My advice? Take some shrooms. I bet you already know but
their sole purpose is to give you a new vantage point and
fill you with eldrich alien cthulu positivity. Postivity
nevertheless tho. "Holy shit maybe im actually worth
something" and all that. Doesn't come naturally to me
either, its always a surpise to be filled with that idea.
They're a good reset button, like restarting the computer
after it's been on for 5 weeks.

Take her easy.

Thank you for your patience. I do need a reset, a new
vantage point as Wolf says. I am in an ever diminishing
circle, swirling round the drain, as they say... if anyone
knows where I can buy these fungi ... I don't know anyone
or anything really.

The darkweb is probably the *easiest* place (short of
knowing hippies) to procure most things, but tbh its sketchy
and requires a lot of convoluted setup and interfacing with
dodgy crypto and dodgy sellers.

The easiest way specifically for p. mushrooms is just to
grow em. Yes, the spores are probably illegal where you
live, but they don't contain any trace of the active drug
and aren't THAT illegal. I know they're legal in italy and
spain. The spores are readily available online and lots of
places will ship to you even if it's illegal in your region
(again, they contain no active drug). The spores are illegal
here in california, but I've been shipped some a few times.
Labeled "for research purposes."

To simply lay out the growing process ("pf tek method")

1. You inject some canning jars with the spores. The jars
are full of brown rice flour and a bit of vermiculite on
top.

2. You boil the inoculated jars to sterilize them

3. If you sterilized properly, the jars colonize within a
month

4. You upend the jars into a little plastic terrarium (just
a storage box will do), with a few holes for ventilation.
Perelite layering the floor.

5. You fan out your terrarium a couple of times a day and
spray your "cakes" with water to keep em moist

6. Couple weeks in you start to find the little guys pinning
out. You let em grow until the caps start to turn upwards,
pick em and eat em. Or dry them out completely and save them
for later.

If I can do it any one can do it. I promise it's easier than
interfacing with the dark web. Check out the spore situation
in your home country, but I know for a fact a lot of places
online sell spores to whoever.

sorry my guide was written in like 3 minutes.

You boil the jars and THEN inoculate. AND you have to
sterilize the spore syringe with open flame too, before
injecting. I guess you just have to believe me that I didn't
make that mistake when actually growing them ;p

Either way that was intended as a basic overview to make the
process look about as easy as it is. If you actually do it,
read a pf tek guide and don't follow my instruction lol.

they probably are. I've heard some crazy theories like
spores could survive the vacuum of space and are
exteterrestrial in origin.

But I think their process of evolution (how they arrived to
where they are now was mushrooms) is pretty well understood
so that's likely bullshit.

Gwely back in like 2005-2006 you were the first person EVER
who said "hey wolfslice I like your style can you make me a

It really meant a lot to me dude, it really did. I'm still
making music today because of little confidence boosters
like that. Whatever you're doing now, 2007 era wolfslice
appreciated the fuck out of it.

I still have your "Horsehead and the Tea Time Sippers" album
saved and

"8 -The Teapot Tilts, The Tension Thrusts" still fuckin
knocks man. legit.

I still have your tracks man. Step off, Rolf and Route 152
East are forever engrained in my mind!

I stopped making music around 2014, was satisfied with the
albums I did and moved onto other things. I used to have a
website with all my albums that Coax made for me but that
expired awhile ago, got a soundcloud if you have one too.

Man I miss old xlt, it was like years of straight up music
talk, and there was always dozens online to chat about new
and old releases alike.

damn, yeah I miss cx. He got a lot of shit for spamming too
much, but that guy was better than almost anyone else here
at sound design. I hope he's doing great.

Step off, Rolf one of the few old tracks I kept on my
soundcloud. Thx for remembering it man. <3. I still think
it's a good track. I remember a pretty hot chick I knew put
that as the song that would play on her myspace when you
opened a profile, left it for months. I shoulda banged that
chick back then! fuck.

Anyway man even if you stopped making tunes I hope you're
doing well. You made an impact on me personally. The old
days of XLT were something.

well even if you peaced out musically, ima listen to every
single track there tonite! I have 3 albums you posted in my
xlt folder and always enjoyed your stuff.

my fave i've made in the past few years was this.
but that's enough spam

It was *genuinely* good to see ya on and chat with ya for a

You know im thinking about it right now and taking stock.

I have nothing to complain about. I'm 40. I'm cooking
dinner; yeah i poured a touch of vodka and a diet energy
drink. I had a nice chat with an old xlt friend. I'm in a
long term relationship. I have the day off work.
We're going to watch some x files with dinner, I am kind in
love with Scully and my wife thinks mulder is sexy. It's all
good today.

But when I think about the idea of a smokin hot 19 year old
chick putting my track on her myspace back when I was 19-20
myself. I mean does it compare? It's like that part of my
life was lit up like an x-mas tree and I'll never get it
back.

I'm extrapolating to the rest of you, but fuck. We're all
just getting old. Either we can find the path forward or
keep becoming disgruntled as we look back. That's all,
peace!
