Yeah ,...cool place with mu artist frequently threading.

started by nautilis

yeah, it's a damn shame. who again is for complete freedom
of posting whatever they want on mbs? warpcomm is down, now
p-mu is down. i sure hope this great mb will be controlled
enough so it wont do the same...

I love planet-mu I used to go there just to get updated on
some serious sounding stuff. how would have some people
ever known about hrvatski, venetian snares, bit meddler, or
the other alias of U-ziq? its a damn shame that its gone

according to joyrex of www.joyrex.com,..it's because of some
hideous spammer kid called on/Jupiter(?)

Hmm,..can't see why they just didn't remove him from the
board though

What's mu-ziq's other alias?

no relation to the spammer, btw :)

Yeah, letting people run wild is a stupid idea, moderators
are needed. If it offends some dickheads that think they
should be able to say and do whatever they want, eh, cool.

SCHMEE gave some explanations on the joyrex board:

Quote
Couldn't Schmee just ban the ISP's of all of the people that
were being bastards???

yes, i could and i have. unfortunately i can't do that for
a lot of the trouble causers cause they share subnets with
good users including a few from the planet-mu roster and i'm
not about to ban leafcutter john cause some 15 year old fuck
on the same ISP needs to be a cunt online

Quote
I can safely say it was 0n/Jupiter that caused the downfall
of the µ board. Sad little fucker.

actually he hasn't shown his mug since i banned him

Quote
I wonder what'll happen now with that break-fux-a-thon
contest :-(

that contest is being run by n.autilis.com not
planet-mu.com, it's still on

the truth of it is is that shit has just gotten really outta
control with the extreme hating and spamming action. it
used to be that there were only ever a few threads that were
completely worth ignoring and now i find it hard to find
anything there worth reading at all so we decided to can it
for now, but it may return sometime in the near (or distant)
future in a different form.

That really sucks. Hopefully it will revive again. This is
indeed a victory for the trolls.

Controlling the MB gestapo style is not a bad thing. I
suggested a common/shared blacklist of trolls a while back,
for the webmasters, but I got no feedback on that. Still, I
think its a great idea.

DAM!! I was there a lot :(

It was nice to talk to U-ziq, Venetian Snares and Nautilis.

Venetian Snares was very polite and friendly, he posted
there a lot (he was nice to speak to).

I wish Aphex could be more open like that and speak to us at
aphextwin.nu
