Aphex Music

I went to bed at 630 Pee M

I woke up around midnight and I'm having some mocha hazelnut
coffee and two Fanny Mae buckeye chocolates. It's -10 C
outside with wind-chill and Surfing On Sine waves is playing
at an ambient low volume for background noise while I work
on some headphone software music.

Little VST SH101 clone program, some milky FM string pads in
the line of hedpyhlem and other saw 85-92 tracks

When I discovered really Aphex Twin music beyond the track
that introduced me (Come to Daddy at a pals house at age 16
on their family PC, he said I'd be into it cause I was
listening to Apoptygma Berzerk and really simple techno at
the time and he noticed my interest in electronic music away
from top 20 radio stuff as I was learning about Kazaa and
finding artists music online (WOW!)

It was this same time of year at the end of high school when
Im joining XLT and being a big nose insensitive trolly d bag
prick and I'm discovering all of RDJs music and albums on
Kazaa and Soulseek, some top tracks like Drukqs and Hearts
Of Space program 365 or sumn, and Kick Ass Violin Solo and
discovering the Chris Cunningham works.

My life would never be the same.

I was fucked.

I'm glad I finally shelled out the few dollar bucks on VST
software & Midi hardware & bought some Aphex vinyls & some
synths

I just can't help but imagine a nostalgic rdj in his winter
studios having sweets and going on stoned fuzzy blip
journeys

Most of his music is really tied to the holidays for me,
tons of stuff on Drukqs for the piano songs of course and
tons of Tha and Rhubarb stuff for the crisp frozen starry
nights and colorful scapes when the sun's on the edge of our
skies coming or going. Polynomial C was also really good
when I was 18 or so in the backseat passenger during sunset
far out in the countryside watching cows roam and eat as we
zoomed past and that familiar term came back into my mind
"fleeting" Fingerbib did the same shit to me

Alberto, Eggy Toast, Bummy, Ventolin remixes

Thanks Aphe

Do you ever imagine meeting RDJ and he's just creepily
laughing hysterically and grinning and it's just getting
more intense and hes repeatedly just asking you if you wanna
do it not really determining what "it" is, it's just that
it's something good that you wanna do and it gets more manic
and acidy and hysterical as he's like getting you so hyped
up on whatever's about to happen cause he really likes to
fuck with you

I imagined this at work one night and I knew something was
up cause it was too right in my mind

i guess the season is fittting to sink in and dream away in
his soundscapes or make music yourself. i vividly remember
having had the time of my life making tracks on christmas
one year. such a special vibe that day.

aphex tonight

I got lazy really in modulating the sh101 reverbed pattern
looping, but I played with the cut/env filter on the pad.
And also at 2:17? When the quiet vocal sample starts I
fucked up and it's just a loud poorly attacked intro these
are amateur musics it's okay

Without googling it, can you tell me what is fapdom ? I'm
putting the word together in my mind and not sure if I'm
understanding it correctly.

kind of strange to me, to think of putting on background
music, while working on music. i feel like it'd just pull me
out of it

but i guess, if it's really low, kind of subliminal...
interesting idea

aphex spoke of, "i get into listening to music moods, and
making music moods" and that's fair. then he goes on to say,
"if i listen to music while making music i wind up stealing
stuff"

but isn't it all stolen, to some degree? that it's made up
of all the other music we've heard, mostly, with a few ideas
of our own

anyways, i kind of took that as advice for a good bit; tried
to keep some distance. i succeeded to the point where i did
this track and was kind of surprised to have people say
"oh lol it's like the aphex track"

that i had not heard humanoid intruder for, like, hmmm... 12
years before i recorded this? that i had to go back and play
it again before saying: whoaaaa i see what you mean

so it's no use. it's all stolen. even 12 years later. and
maybe just put it on real low like fertilizer?

i still think it'd just distract me. but good thot

have you ever tried to do a "phone doodle" of a song? like,
as one would just absentmindedly draw on a napkin while
talking on the phone. just a quick little sketch
