at this point i guess i have to say i'll miss you guys,
like, i figure this place will stick around, but it really
is starting to feel like just me posting here and i dunno
maybe i'll try IRC again. i already go outdoors and talk to
actual live people all the time and it simply doesn't
scratch the itch. that probably setting up some stuff myself
and yugo, if anyone remembers it, just reboot that or
something. and i dunno.

i guess, i mean, i hope it'll pick up again. i had no
serious gripe against discord until certain people began to
mount a pressure campaign and frack all the gasses out of
the shale.

then it's into a larger thing, where... i used to have a
website, other people had websites, now someone has a
twitter or a facebook and it's all collapsed into
homogeneous mcdonalds hamburger bun rubber trash; discord
just the latest wave.

i guess i think of... maddox. maddox dot xmission... he's
not who i am; different style... but it still kind of was,
like, i'd like to be like this. to be a guy that lots of
people read.

now it's all "influencer" and that feels like drinking
bleach. that's not what it was, ok? that maddox just fucking
laid it out and, well, maybe you're not quite the same
style, but you're starting to nod, that's a damn good point,
etc. and this is actually pretty funny

if i had to be more crass, i'd again note the insane number
of salacious accounts this board has lurking in its dusty
old crates, and those will never make to discord
