what if i got hit by a bus?

i mean, it's unlikely, even given my balls as a pedestrian
amongst an audi cockfight. like, it's one of them that'd get
me, not the bus

but, anyways, i've been all "oh, um, i should get some
albums together" and i took some time to organize my
bookshelf as i gradually found my copy of "mastering audio"
by bob katz and three weeks later... oh, hell, i'm going to
the doctor soon for first time in ages because... well, i
think i know what's going on, i just need confirmation,
but... maybe there's something else too... who knows. that,
fuck it, mark bell went out of "complications from surgery"
and i'm just thinking what a right mess it'd be if i did
proverbially get hit by a bus: just things like, if you
stack the dominos, no one will probably even realize i have
a paypal account with some money in it, because they won't
be able to get into my bespoke email crap, and... hell, i'm
just going to upload some albums fuck mastering

that maybe i should just thread it, or stagger them to not
exhaust people and maximize my audience penetration, but
really, we're maybe 1/4 thru what i recorded last year or
two; buckle up

then there's the hundreds of tracks from 06-10. about a
month's worth -- sheer hours -- of DJing. also riced out
yugo, about a phone book's worth of drawings, thousands of
photos... what should i do with it all?

i can't imagine i'm the only one to have this moment

My dad got hit by a double decker bus when he was 12, he had
to spend two years in hospital getting skin grafts and
stuff, lucky to survive really, one of his legs looked like
a gnarled tree trunk

Considering the title: TLDR

I sort of read the first sentence of every paragraph

thats a time saver!

briefly running over is not a bad option either at times.

its likely to be all gone like all of us,
like tears in the rain

no point in fighting our insignificance,
leave a few marks, yes, but dont forget to enjoy the ride

practically thinking, you could scan and upload everything
EVERYTHING YOU MAKE, recorded etc.. to the cloud and leave
the pass for others to post in a case of sudden death.
friends and followers might wanna peek into the creative
mind of yours.

briefly sorted, preferrably

i am technically capable of, like, a dead man's switch:
like, just upload all my shit if i don't poke it within a
month. the only reason i don't is because i'm a fucking
space cadet and i'd just forget about it and it'd upload it
all and i'm still here and i'd be like fuck, shit

mostly i think this is normal human. that, so far, the
doctors have stalled again, so i have a bit more time before
i find out if there's anything deeply wrong with me (other
than what we already knew [and i suspect the answer is no, i
have a thing to deal with but i'm not about to die {but then
it does trigger a moment to think about that <and i think
this is actually pretty normal human here [someone said "is
this a red flag" essentially, referring to suicide, and i'm
like -- no, you wanker, i don't want to die, i'm just
contemplating the logistics if i were to]>}])

i made that all the first sentence of a paragraph so you
have to read it all.

aside from the actual first sentence. so i gave you an out

maybe there is a sane path to a dead man's switch, that does
not involve me remembering to poke it every so often: you
can subscribe to some API to run a soft credit check, and if
either a) the credit check says i'm dead, or b) the API call
fails for > 3 months [of sending screaming alerts to me]
then yes i'm probably done for upload it

this is eventually true no matter what you do, I mean what
if our planet got hit by a bus? it's unlikely but given the
amount of time we are dealing with its bound to happen in a
way or another. it's all gone like tears in the rain already

we just need a bigger cloud then,
like, the oort cloud

"what if i got hit by a bus?"
"maximize my audience penetration"
"upload all my shit"

NO ONE GIVES A FUCK.

and that is a fact. you may or may not make decent music,
but in this day and age NO ONE GIVES A FUCK. if you lived in
the 90s and was some sort of pioneer someone MIGHT GIVE A
FUCK.

(yes, everyone gives a fuck about what i do too)

i suppose you'd just have me lying in bed depressed, doing
nothing? like what is your point here?

LAZY_TITLE ~ just listen to this; the whole album. it
all fits together very well, it has a coherent theme, and it
is stuffed with wordless jokes. that, it's fun? and it was
better than doing nothing

that i suppose you're also misoverestimating my ambitions.
once i was naive enough to think, "maybe i could make some
money off this," but that was a long time ago. even longer
before that, like 16, i thought about being famous. do i
want to be famous? and i concluded: no, i'd rather not,
being flagged down by randos every time i went to stop and
shop, that would drive me up the wall

then, well, ok, what is it then? well, i just like making
things; that's the bedrock. but if it goes anywhere, i guess
i'd just like the respect of people i respect, something
like what trent reznor said about your heroes actually
returning your phone calls

but even there, i'm not stressing it, i just hope people
here appreciate it, i actually haven't bothered to link it
anywhere else except DM to specific peoples

You're unlikely to be hit by a bus in jail, so, y'know,
swings and roundabouts, every cloud, etc.

i have been hit by a minivan, a utility truck, and probably
some other vehicles i have forgotten about. it's nothing to
worry about really.
