it kind of kills me, really. i was literally just half snoozing on the floor; i was doing yoga but i'm tired and wound up dozing, and thinking: oh fuck it maybe i should just sell most of this shit off. i wanted to do another stab at this particular thing but now i'm tired and i could really just fall asleep here on the floor if i let myself and doing another one is too much effort and someone was mean last time anyways. so i appreciate that earthleakage has apologized and that belb likes it -- and yes, the shit is still on right now, gear been on for a few days now running the patterns over and over. that i argue with myself about wear on the gear and $$ electricity vs. i might find my way to another take in a day or two what really kills me is, like: ok. i'll keep my current house i'm renting. i don't have a functioning car anymore but that's ok too. but can someone just write me a check for, like, i dunno, $2mil? so i can quit my job and spend my whole life either A) working out B) working on music C) sleep sometimes because i'm old enough not to blow it on stupid crap and i'm also starting to feel i'm worth it. like, just set me up leave me alone and i will drown you in trax but who'd fucking do that. |

I listened at my computer instead of in my car hassles wasnt feel this too much. I only like "noise" tracks sometimes though and rarely when they're on such an upfront plane. Like all that smojphace shit sucks ass too, so it's not just you. rhumba clip removed spassles love the crunchy bass, beat is decent. Good sounds in general filter beat and filter beat ii removed parsnip beat yeah it's decent pinball lizard I like the pingy high pitched sound. The mushy noise beat is too much for me at this frequency. dont bother removed i shouldnt have bothered chunky removed thad spassies pretty spergy. I can hang more with the noise elements here. I like the bouncy, underlying vocal stuffs and I like the ending |

I meant the vocal sample but dont sell that short, cause I can hear the sample a bit more naked right at the end so I know what you did with it. the fuckery at 2:28 is fun and adds a lot to the track. As far as it sounding like the track is talking.... I feel that fluidity but no one is ever gonna translate/picture sonic abstractions the way you want them to. Still talking Thad Spassies here, to me the beat elements are like a little a ripple of connected circles on a string, almost like anal beads, see. The rest is big textured brush strokes of red and orange, with all your grain visible in each patch. Any way this shit is all pretty noisy and autistic but it's fun. |

when i was, like, four, my aunt and uncle gave me a fischer-price synthesizer keyboard (yellow) and it came with a songbook and my dad sat there and taught me yankee doodle and twinkle twinkle little star and i got this pretty quick, so he then explained how the notes on the page corresponded to the keys, and have fun son. and i learned a few on my own, like "somewhere over the rainbow," but i actually totally forget how to play that, now. because in short order i decided that fucking songbook full of notes felt like a straightjacket and you know what i am just going to throw that in the dustbin and hit whatever. notes. i. feel. like then within a few months i broke that keyboard after telling the babysitter i had permission to steal a screwdriver (now that i knew where dad hid them) and open it up. i snapped off a bit of the PCB fucking around with it and i knew [at five or a bit before] i'd screwed up. so, in a panic, i promptly denied everything because i didn't want to get in trouble (and i didn't). but in retrospect, i want to go back in time and slap myself, because if i'd owned up to it, dad could have fixed it, and i might still have that thing, and i would bet my left nut it would have been a real charmer to circuit bend but lesson learned there. less so with the songbook full of fucking sheet music -- which i actually understood better at 4 than i do now -- which i also broke pretty thoroughly; didn't even miss for a good decade or two the thing with afx being all microtonal, custom scales, global tune cheekiness -- like, fuck, i've spent ten years learning to bend stuff by ear on a capacitive touch keyboard? but now that i'm so far down the road of getting it wrong, i actually like my way better. i am not microtonal; i am omnitonal. |

sleeping in the sunshine I love the outro starting around 2:25 and the dirty kick rush there. I'm a simple man. At first the drums didn't click with me too much, but by around 1:50 im groovin'. I also love the dying cat sounds are most pronounced around 0:49. And I like the AI generated art. good track. |

i'm quite happy with the title too, actually. i thought: i've switched out the fatboy slim sample for something that won't get me sued to shit, i've swapped out a bunch of sounds to match, and... yeah, this is no longer moran louter. what should i call it now? and my brain, the back shelf somewhere, no hesitation: "we slept through most of the day today, hmm, sleeping through the sunshine? no. sleeping in the sunshine? bit of a better ring but too generic; probably loads of songs called that already. so.. seeping in the... ok that's it" and later i realized it's even better than i realized. sleeping in the sunshine seeping in the sunshine [gradually bleeding it in] seeping in the sunshine [pouring sweat in the sun] sipping in the sunshine |

afx can make such wonderful track names like phlaps and vordhosbn and avril 14 and canticle drawl, but he's been holding out on us. first he just starts copy/pasting his track names from security bulletins off symantec's website as an "anti-piracy" measure and now all his track names are just like software version revision numbers sheesh |

^^ practice take at first totally fapping about at the start. then the battery on the delay pedal dies ~43sec in or someth and it's really really autistically gated but i decide to keep going and wind up blowing up the moog a bit more and then rinsing the percussion cool thanks good ideas guys. i'm going to eat, replace the batteries, try again... like, blow up the moog and rinse the percussion but also have my spiraly chords functioning too |
