there are nutters in america, you guys must have heard of
the survivalist movement? people who buy farms and store
guns and other stuff like all kinds of long lasting foods in
their homes and buy tonnes of gold. they are nuts of course.
but we could be jealous of them very soon if the politicial
situation collapses. paranoidmaniii

Yeah I think partial collapse of society is inevitable at
this point cos of climate change, plus I don't think
democracy (even this quasi-pseudo democracy we have) can
survive the rigors of hypercaptalism in a system of
dwindling resources and increasing demand

most recent thing the politicians scared us about is the
security of water and power if too many workers get
infected/quarantined. certainly that is something for a
government to be concerned about, while i dont see this
danger with the current mortality rate i think it wouldnt be
a bad idea to get some trainees in just in case the
situation gets worse.

im really glad btw we just shut off three of our remaining
six nuclear power plants. 3 to go next year and we dodged
this bullet.

you can see the dominos falling everywhere at this point,
but i still dont see us falling just yet.
mankind has become unbeliveably creative and
determined to remain the status quo
knocks on wood

i havent cross referneced the sources, but this read sounds
well sane and the text has me signed up for saying no to
GoF. We dont need to mutate viruses to see how bad they can
get and watch them fuck up the world.
this is about the longest read i deemed worth it in a while.
thx!

Yeah sounds like an utterly nutty thing to say but that
article seems fairly reasonable in what they are saying! But
got to be honest don't know nearly enough about the genetics
and evolution of Viruses to say one way or another. If its
true though the people who are responsible should be in the
Hague for crimes against humanity
