i felt like: this is the stuff i'd spend a week programming on the computer (in 2005), except now i'm able to play it live in layered parts; edit it down in three hours. feedback from friends indicates i am accurate in my feelings. i quit VST music for years because it had begun to feel overbuilt; too fiddly. spent a few years focusing on hardware after that. i'm still fussing endlessly with trackers, but it's nice to go hardware for another round and say, "oh, jeez, i seem to have solved the issue that drove me from software to hardware in the first place." but trackers, though. editing endless detail. that will always be a fing for me |
