They're meant to write home and say "don't come here, it is
hell"

The UK Refused To Implement Immigration Powers

But on the bright side, Rees Mogg and his pals get to keep
their offshore tax shelters and clean up on privatization of
public services, while people who voted for Brexit get to
continue trying to rationalize their actions. So, it's a
win-win!

I'm not anti-immigrant, I'm of Belgian and Irish stock,
but I am against the Deification of the Immigrant. We have
to recognise that for all the economic benefits and ooh
Ethiopian Restaurants (the fucking irony) we do also import
problems that must cost us a fortune (mainly Islam-related
bullshit, African-related bullshit, black males weird super
macho homo culture, Pakistani tribal politics).

i am also not for deification. you have the bible-thumping
neo-nazis, on one side, saying all immigrants are bad. then
you have people like wavephace on the other, who say all
immigrants are good. the world is not that clear-cut; get me
away from both sides, please

To be fair, Wavephace is a character, as am I, to an
extent.

I don't agree with Brexit or the reasons for it. Rees Mogg's
father wrote a book on how to make money from collapsing
economies. A bit like your god, Soros, breaking the bank of
England.

Oh but that was good fleecing as opposed to bad fleecing.

yeah I don't Mogg really cares that much about the outcome
of Brexit now, he has made his stash shorting the pound,

The colossal schadenfreude of Brexit has given me a constant
erection for the last three years.

This idea you have that I'm some kind of Soros fan is
incredible.

My point is that Soros is treated by people who get their
worldview from Prison Paul etc. as a repository for the ills
of capitalism as a whole. It's not safe for conservatives to
recognize that what Soros and other speculators did to the pound is bog standard forex
arbitrage, bog standard capitalism, because that exposes the
whole system.

Anyways can we please get back to discussing Lovecraft, and
the fact that Cthulhu represents Sonia Greene's pussy?

I honestly totally agree. Were there any grand conspiracy we
could pull the plug on it, but, as you say, it's "the
system" and we're all complicit and reliant on it, and at
its whim. And it doesn't take some nefarious global cult
that even GOD HIMSELF hates to game it. Anyone can, people
get cross because others are better at it than they are.

The last thing I will say about Soros is that, ticking, as
he does, nearly every single box in the stereotypical
meddling jew internationalist financier
holding-the-door-open for immigrants and destabilizing
countries check- list is that it offers a wide open goal to
swivel-eyed right-wing fruitcake pundits like myself.

ANYHOO, in an adjunct that will hopefully grease the segue
into Cthulhu and Sonia Greene's pussy, back in the 80s it
used to cause me no end of amusement that there was a
Sex Shop in London's glitzy Leicester Square called
"Lovecraft". But in the light of critical analysis maybe it
wasn't so frivolous???

It's a wonderful name for the greatest weird author in
history, redolent of sex magick. Breeding, spawning,
hybridization, bestiality and Unwholesome Congress
are never far away in his stories. Another reason why I'm so
baffled by Houellebecq's refusal to recognize the wet
dripping sexual nature of the mythos.
