even if it feels like it's coming over a dodgy wapanese fax
machine, it's hard to hear eleanor rigby and laugh.
immediately i'm just singing to myself and playing back the
string arrangement. sure, it's terrible, but i'm just
following along to the real thing in my hed and not really
noticing

george martin killing it with the strings w/rt eleanor

did u noe: when mccartney was working on 'yesterday' his
working lyrics, before he wrote the lyrics, went something
like: scrambled eggs! baby, i really love your legs

you can totally hear it. source: "many years from now," paul
mccartney's autobio, which i have read and still have on my
shelf.

this also gave rise to part of the proto-qanon "paul is
dead" conspiracy, with this part hinting that paul mccartney
ate undercooked eggs and died of salmonella. source: many
years on the internet

weirdly poignant. I don't want anyone to cry at my funeral
either, actually I don't want a funeral just put my corpse
in a wheelie bin like a piece of polystyrene left over from
a Christmas present

yeah the scrambled eggs bit, if he had left those at its
lyrics it would have been a bit more bearable to listen to
