Jesus, I just thought 8 sucked, failed to see all
the cool things
in it that chimed Lucky Pierre, and now
I'm threatened by the whole enterprise.

On the Barry Morse tip, over the last 3 months or so I have
tried to watch, in its entirety, the Canadian 1979 sci-fi
film H. G. Wells' The Shape of Things to Come but in
every... single... sitting I am asleep within 10
minutes. At this rate I will finish it this time next year.

I've never heard of that, the wiki article whetted my
appetite, now I have to hunt up some cringe clips.

1970s Canadian television is surely one of God's own
soporifics. If you eventually finish it I can recommend The
Littlest Hobo, which is Canada's answer to a question no one
asked, what if Bill Bixby were a dog and never got angry and
turned green.

Canada's true national anthem

they showed that in the uk too, i have a childhood memory of
watching that b2b with little house on the prairie. i
couldn't tell you plot or characters but the theme tunes are
burned in... soporific is right but my mum loved em

I used to watch "The Littlest Hobo" as a younger man, they
used to show it here on Children's telly, and I know all the
words to the theme tune / Canada's true anthem... I see they
are uploaded and I will revisit this heartwarming series.

I have no real opinion on this apart from wondering what its
like to have a strong emotional reaction to anything
nowadays

What Was Cool In Star Wars 8 by Juliette, 33 years old

- the rashomony flashbacks to luke's betrayal of kylo's
trust
- the milk
- just luke in general, what a cool guy
- kylo ren being a huge whiny rager, i love him so much
- cute little critiques of the usual star wars
hereditariness of the hero gene, not because of fucking
politics but just because it's a more interesting story
- the red sand was kinda cool
- it's fun to see laura dern in a star wars even if her
character is useless
- the shiny stormtrooper girl reminds me of when i would
customise my toys
- i fuckin love those bright red dudes in snoke's red throne
room

so good. he's my husbando.

It ends with Luke's X-Wing flying by California and a young
George. Lucas looking up in the sky and smiling.

woman

I don't hate you, at all, it's not my space you're so keen
to move in on. It's unfortunate that you've got some very
nasty bedfellows that clearly hate women, and I think
the whole deal is a lot more complicated than going "You
know what mate, good for you
", but please don't
interpretate my scepticism for hate, I freely acknowledge it
is beyond me in the same way I'd never claim to know
what it was like to be gay, despite what mermaidman would
have you believe.

i'm a nobody, my only place is my house
but yeah, 'bedfellows' is a compelling word choice
considering the number of baby transes that get embrigaded
in activist sex cults lol

i guess it's hard to gauge how tongueincheek i can afford to
be on here

anyway, it's fine, don't take all the memes going around too
seriously and just be aware that neither side has any idea
what they're talking about. nothing is changing, it's some
shit for bored and idle people to get worked up about.
