I’ve not seen Society but it looks fun. Not seen Climax,
but then Gaspard Noe and his movies tend to do my head in so
I avoid now. He offends my brain.

I don’t mean to be a cunt, Marlowe, but as fun as
“French dancers gather in a remote, empty school building
to rehearse on a wintry night. The all-night celebration
morphs into a hallucinatory nightmare when they learn their
sangria is laced with LSD” sounds, I can just taste the GN
bullshit in the way he will have done this. Maybe I’m
wrong. Maybe I should at least check it out. Did you like
Irreversible?

yeah the concept sounds like it could be fun but no way i'm
watching another gaspar noé movie unless i want to make fun
of it and get mad. god he put a cgi dick getting soft at the
end of his rape scene in irreversible, what a dreadful idiot

fucking hell, this place has gone to the dogs, it's either
45 year-old edgelords acting like 14 year-old 4Channers, or
people getting offended because a film was transgressive,
what a waste of pixels and kilobytes.

Hey I’m not offended. I love movies and always try to
enjoy myself when I watch one. I’m sorry but I just
don’t like this director. I live in a French speaking
country. It’s just my opinion, and an opinion that
shouldn’t bother you! Aronofsky gave me the same feeling
when he released Requiem for a Dream. It just didn’t feel
genuine and more intended to shock. Same with irreversible
which lacked substance. Charmless movies. I prefer the guys
who influenced them like Cronenberg and Lynch for example.
Sorry! *tip-toes out*

Ellen Burstyn tho, Requiem was worth watching just for her
performance

Sarah Palmer ultimately left her house, and went to a
bar.

I’m exaggerating a tad, he’s allowed his eraserhead (Pi)
and his crazy mom etc... It was a long time ago but somehow
the image I had of aronofsky has stuck. This idea that I’m
seeing a bunch of influences I’ve seen elsewhere instead
of a movie that’s at least a bit personal. Noah’s arc
was a bit ridiculous and I’ve not seen black swan. I guess
i should view some of his recent stuff. Didn’t he also do
a del toro rip off? Ah I’ll quit bitchin’!

transgressive and call people edgelords, that is ridiculous

in Motion"? so brave

I just watched The Florida Project, which is also about
[death metal growl] societeeeeeeeeee

10/10, I expected a good story with good acting but it was
also a thoughtful structural analysis of 21st century
America told through images and vignettes

the ending is wild, ties together everything that came
before like a drawstring cinching loose fabric together

My only concern for modern society is, how will transgender
people affect public lavatorial concerns?

As a career lavatory attendant I think my voice should be
heard.

i dm'd society and asked it what it's goal was and it just
hemmed and hawed for a while then admitted it wasn't sure.
