How was your 2018?

Mine was alright. I wasn't very productive, I found out my
girlfriend was cheating on me and my mum died.

I did however meet Mos Def who was really nice, got a switch
and there was some good music.

Overall 6/10. What about you?

I think this year has been a mixed bag really,
psychologically very hard, im pushing myself to improve,
every day feels like an inexorable, torturous slog over
infernal, endless dark Icey wastes of slush, and that even
before someone sticks the bloody tv on

Self improvement is incredibly difficult, at least for me. I
am definitely my own worst enemy. Sometimes I really fret
over the things I can't change when I should be focusing on
the things I can. Stupid really.

yes im in my own worst enemy camp, sometimes I feel like I
actively sabotage my own life

I’m sorry to read about those events, indeksical.

This year has been pretty hard for me, looking back. Marital
and family mega issues, and a struggle coping with
depression and CVS. Thing is, I feel I’ve “grown up” a
fuckload.

tonight the thing that puzzles me the most is seeing my
sister gradually personificating my defunct mother, which is
something sometimes i do for fun as well, like saying shit
that my mum used to say and stuff like that, but the general
feeling i have of her narrowing on to a childish persona
dont make me feel very well. in fact god pushises me, he
makes me brain screw up over dealable shit, if i have beef
going with her on the back of my head.

I got a new job and earn more money now.
I lost a few pounds.
Life still sucks.

best of today now i just lolled about it, was a joke made by
the custiodian this morning to a couple of kids with the
father going to school, i was going to work, about today
being a good day to go the beach. possibly the coldest day
of the season so far, between -4 and -1. and i left my boss
40 minutes outside in the cold waiting for me to arrive out
of his decisions.

I think belb's good humor in the fave of tuff times is
remarkable and admirable. He may well be the only Englishman
with the grit to survive no deal brexit.

My 2018 was a bit of a mixed bag. Family member broke a
foot, but it got better. I went body surfing in the ocean
and read good books. Discovered a little place that makes
fantastic banh mi sandwiches. Drank dark Belgian style ales
and went for bike rides. Overall A-, can't complain.

depression hit new levels this year, but tried to stay
productive. work out, hike, engage in community stuff. 2
years sober now, good physique.
some good music this year. didnt play many games but enjoyed
the ones i did play (nioh & dragon's dogma). mostly just
listen to bvdub and hack super metroid. hoping to finish up
my game in the new year, and find a new hobby.

Things have been pretty tough. Still getting over two
horrible situations from the year before, and trying to help
some dummies in the family with their debts for the sake of
my nephew. Luckily i'm around better people now, who help me
get through and don't put themselves first all the time. I
hope 2019 is where the ship steadies itself.

was great in liverpool, my cousins had a great time too, was
good to meet a zilty member in person and have a little play
with the elektron digitakt too and gossip about other
members and stuff lol.

my year's been ok for the most part, got to play my first
ever live gig, and my second ever live gig. met some wicked
japanese people, but sadly they are going home soon. had
loads of laughs with my cousins and the japanese people. :-D

i sold my modular for £8000, which was great, got to buy a
lot of equipment but sadly didn't make much music yet!
there's always next year for that.

bought my 6 year old nephew a switch which he loves almost
as much as he loves football.

got loads of messages and comments praising my music and
stuff, offers from 5 labels (not that the offers will still
be there by the time i get round to making more music) and
an offer to play in italy that didnt pan out.

anyway thanks to all you ziltians for being there doing your
zilty thing
zilty still has life in it and dont forget to donate to
phobiazero if you want the site to survive.
