i read a whole guardian article on the manchester terrorist,
says he was gradually alienated but doesnt tell a serious
reason for it. says that from those 2.5 sq miles come nearly
20 dead or convincted terrorists. apparently (my own
supposition) he had the occasion to get in touch with some
fanatics into his own country, lybia, the father and himself
belonged to a militia that fought gaddhafi linked to al
qaida.

one curios thing the article says, is that he was good at
girls. if i was a policeman at this point i would totally
investigate between his conquests.

clearly stuff has gotten out of hand in uk, something
drastic must be done. i cant believe they permitted
terrorism to flourish this way.

"Anyway, I think Muslims are spot on when they say that they

are denied respect. They obviously are. "

Won't respect a religion that shits on women's rights and
deems throwing homosexuals off buildings as moral (list
could go on forever but i will leave it at 2 examples).

Now do i think all muslims are bad?, no cause i don't
believe all people are bad and it is obviously a complicated
situation.

Do i think military intervention in the middle east caused a
spike in terrorist attacks absolutely.

Do i think a lot of cunts that aren't being affected by
these attacks are making a shit ton of money off these
conflicts and are willing to accept these attacks to
continue to make money? ABSOLUTELY

Do i have any solutions to the state of affairs?
ABsolutelyfucking not (unfortunately). Maybe if the west
stops making refugees by bombing 8 countries (might be more
now) we can slow down the rate of terrorism while we find a
ways to give the "respect" these cunts need and also maybe
get them to realise honor killings are bad

I have trouble reconciling this too.

Religion is just another form of social control. It should
be done away with in my opinion. Nobody listens to me
unfortunately.

yes organised religion at any rate should be done away with

personal spirituality is absolutely fine by me

when you have a collection of bronze age myths telling
people to chop each others heads off and stone kids thats
when we are all effected by it

it’s so old hat.

When I say done away with, my tongue is firmly lodged in my
cheek.

As an upstanding democratic citizen I believe in freedom of
choice (as long as that choice does not infringe blah blah
blah)…

People need to wake up and do away with it themselves. Take
responsibility for their actions.

What id give for a glimpse of the future, i think there will
always be people with irrational beliefs around, i dont know
if its tied into intelligence in a linear fashion. I think
it does take a modicum of critical thinking to reach the
stage when you shake superstitious though, unfortunately
alot of people never reach it for some reason or other. My
mum for instance is a committed christian and she is
intellgent, she is far better at maths than me for a start.

However I was chatting to her about dinosaurs, and she was
making excuses about the plausibility because it conflicts
with her belief system, even though is readily apparent they
exist. If it was in any other domain of her life she would
accept they existed without question. Its so odd to me .

I get the feeling she knows they were real and its not a
hoax, she just cant bring herself to reconcile it with the
bible which she has invested most of her life adhering too.

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2017-05-27 11:18 [#02520800]

I think its an emotional thing for her, she cant contemplate
death i dont think, or suffering, so the bible sort of
absolves her of thinking about it too much

What continues to blow my mind is that (a) Islam is often
seen as an essentially backwards anti-scientific etc.
religion and that (b) the modern West only came into
existence because the knowledge of Greek scientists and
thinkers was preserved in the Islamic world.

It's very weird to me to let it sink in that if you're a
western person who values science and free rational enquiry,
you wouldn't exist if (a) Mohammed wouldn't have had
visions, if (b) his wife hadn't convinced him that these are
not demons talking to him but God and that he therefore
should not kill himself and if (c) he wouldn't have spread
Islam with the sword thereby laying the foundations for an
empire where knowledge could travel.

yes there were lots of important mathematicians and
scientists in the Islamic world. Yes i suppose these ideas
were spread in conjunction with Islamic conquest. Its the
ultimate irony in a way

In your mum's case perhaps the limbic system will not allow
the pre-frontal cortex to produce a rational perspective
regarding the existence of dinosaurs*. In other words, as
you say, she's too emotional about it. It clouds her
judgement.

That's an interesting thought, welt. The irony is strong.

*I hope I got that right.

I think she is smart enough to know that dinosaurs are real,
she doesnt get defensive about it, she just blanks it from
her mind, alot pf people do that for different reasons,

welt i disagree with you cos i dont think the respect issue
is that big.

nazis and communists always have the same trouble that
islamic rads will have soon: there just arent that many
people who want to die in a struggle for paradise. most ppl
want to eat smoke drink and laugh everyday - very
unrevolutionary.
the only people who want life to be a permanent
revolutionary struggle are basically ppl who have been made
emotionally immature usually by brutality and trauma.

loads of muslims have been kept emotionally immature.
violence makes people emotionally broken (immature).
believing that life is a corrupt sick dream means you can
never grow. (this is why i ask people to not believe in
conspiracy theories - they keep you emotionally immature).
depression leaves you weak and brittle - you will be
immature.

not facing up to reality is immature.

i knew this guy and after his mum died he started getting
into jeremy corbyn, he got serious depression, and he
started painting all these really bad pictures of the joker
from batman.

he cant face death. but you have to be mature about these
things.

i think of some dumb muslim cunt not being able to see a
couple of fags holding hands in the park without being
psychically wounded. what a baby. being a child about this
planet is always dangerous

A lot of Nazis were willing to die, and died for their
cause. I think 4.3 millions German soldiers died in WW2,
that's quite a number considering the country. Of course a
lot of Nazis didn't enrol, and weren't necessarily ready to
die, but they believed in the cause.

As for communists, where to start? Blimey AMPI you dish out
these readymade catchphrases all the time that stink of
ignorance, and of wanting desperately to sound smart.

I think it all starts with Palestine, that's when it started
to really kick off. Britain were heavily involved, as you
know of course.

Then I think they'll find any reason nowadays, lifestyle,
blasphemy, capitalism.

Did you know a very sought after product by IS is Dove soap?

He does it to be liked. He wants to appear smart, and
opinionated.

His obsession with a guy he knows little about (Chomsky)
comes from crappy little movements that exist on the net.
They seem to think he's some evil guy, when generally he's
ok. Thing is AMPI will mock the guy and people who might
like him, while never really telling us what it is he's read
that he didn't like.

Why would I start criticizing some guy I know nothing about
just to sound cool, and alternative?
