bootnote: i know absolutely nothing about debbie reynolds except what hunter s. thompson wrote about crashing her time capsule in "fear and loathing in las vegas." while i suppose one must achieve some level of status to be roasted by a gonzo journalist, it must be a bit of a pisser to be known for that and nothing else

apparently, she was friends with carrie fisher. half of my brain is joke: jesus, debbie, do you have to steal carrie's thunder every time? the other half of me feels a bit bad for her now, though: if they were bff, the stress of carrie's end very well could have done her in. makes you think about how else an event like this can domino and ripple around. the ripples from carrie wipe out debbie. a few spare fanboys are pushed over the edge at the death of their imaginary girlfriend and follow her over. dysfunctional family networks surrounding the dead fanboys implode and entire wings of the family tree self-destruct. the corpses pile up, but by now, the connection between the death of carrie fisher and this eldritch feedback loop has been lost on people. the news covers it as a strange phenomenon and this gives it real gas: elderly shut-ins stick their heads in ovens en-masse. mothers decide the world is too full of death and kill babby to spare babby from the nasty nasty death. fathers shoot the mothers. cops shoot the fathers. black people shoot the cops. the death of carrie fisher, in the end, claims 3.4 million lives (1.6 million in new jersey alone). the eschaton has immanentizinated

i almost said "why couldn't it have been drew carey?" in the carrie thread when i was tangenting to william... but, it gave me pause: why do i have it in for drew carey? i'm generally all-for writing something that feels write (even if i can't figure out what's not wrong [peter molyneux] about it), but this was too anti-logic. shit, why not jimmy kimlet? hate that sucka. carey is alright...
gary, carrie's dog... debbie drew a little.... oh.
disclaimer: if you understand this post, i don't understand how

i'm going down my clipboard and checking boxes!
make a thread to stop myself from larding up another thread: check.
start on topic (albiet with a reference so obscure that 2% of the board will get it [often belb, freqy if freqy's sleepy]): check.
grow impatient with the lack of response after two minutes and impulsively move to post more: check.
impulsively core dump the structure of references leading to the obscure reference which which the off thread was kicked: check.
tab over to google news for thirty seconds. ascertain debbie was friends with carrie. spasticly begin to post about it: check.
realize that this is actually a graph theory problem, after a brief hullo through ramsey theory: check
and that's how you wind up shitposting a proposed link between algorithms and immanentizing the eschaton in a thread about debbie reynolds at 5:30am

a buddy of mine is a structural engineer. i was pestering him with incessant questions: did you have to take a class on... like... hurricanes destroying buildings? yes what's it called? limit state design or destruction testi- no, thank you, the first one will do. can we skip to the chapter on cascade failures? thanks. i need to data mine your engineering field for morsels. morsels i can use to immanentize the eschaton (by triggering a debbie reynolds event [a causal machine to immanentize the eschaton <by triggering a debbie reynolds event {a causal machine to immanentize the eschato

Limit state design (LSD), also known as load and resistance factor design (LRFD), refers to a design method used in structural engineering. A limit state is a condition of a structure beyond which it no longer fulfills the relevant design criteria. The condition may refer to a degree of loading or other actions on the structure, while the criteria refer to structural integrity, fitness for use, durability or other design requirements. A structure designed by LSD is proportioned to sustain all actions likely to occur during its design life, and to remain fit for use, with an appropriate level of reliability for each limit state. Building codes based on LSD implicitly define the appropriate levels of reliability by their prescriptions.

in [layman's terms](s), [eschatons] are social-networking stem cells that can differentiate into facebook likes, youtube thumbs, or tweet retweets. if you've a hobby of transpotting polymath verbs, you already know: this involves calculus.
in [layman's term](s), the [class of events] referred to by [debbie reynolds events] references the references that (reference [my references <criticality-claim: {precision-machined streisand lenses are networked into an imploding sphere that allows the streisand effect to go nuclear (whoa, doc, this is heavy!)}>])}]|\
the [class of events] referred to by [debbie reynolds events] was named after [debbie reynolds] because [debbie reynolds] debbie reynolds debbie reynolds

if you type debbie reynolds over, and over, and over, and over. and over. and over you will eventually become unable to spell debbie reynolds for anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. i can already feel it kicking in now
