i thought it was a rat at first but then it detected my presence and i could see it move, and it just casually wobbled off, yes it thought it was pretty cool its what makes life worthwhile,

they can get amazingly loud. one time i was taking a walk in the park at night, when i heard this loud intense breathing. i slowly went towards the sound, couldnt see a thing as it was pitch black. then some animal screamed, probably a cat. breathing became louder until i found a curled up hedgehog in the grass. i slowly moved away from it.

on a serious note this year i heard lots of small hedgehogs are being born at the wrong time so if you see a runt hedgehog try and send it to the animal hospital as they wont survive the winter otherwise

:) yes, a thing to keep in mind, has anyone ever taken one to animal hospital? i heard its ok to give them a home during winter yourself, but i dont know if everyone is suited for that.

Ok.
I was so happy I managed to save a flying insect yesterday. Was in the loo, and luckily my micro surgery meant its wings stayed on. I then left it on some toilet paper to snuggle.
Five minutes later I forgot it was there, and couldn't see it as it had crawled under the tissue. I accidentally killed it by carelessly putting my hand there, and cried. I had to finish it off and seeing it spasm out before I sent it to insect heaven really pissed me off.

hedgehogs are really overrun with fleas, my mum picked one up once when we were walking back from my nan's down a grassy bank at the side of the road and they were absolutely swarming all over it and jumping off onto her hand. she managed to guide it away from the road though and put it in a bush. i like hedgehogs. just not fleas

Speaking of books, I've just begun Alan Moore's Jerusalem. That's going to take a while but judging by what I've read so far it's going to be a great ride.

the raccoon was clearly, thoroughly dead. it was not in my lane. as a driver, this is about all i needed, but i kept looking anyways. why? human nature. thirty pounds of raccoon makes an apparent twenty pounds of hamburger with an incongruent fifteen pounds of raccoon remaining. i can only surmise the impact caused things to expand a bit.
the fox was clearly a fox. it was. it was trotting yonder, also, but i caught his attention with some DJ scratchy mousef noisez. wat? fox goes wat. lol. how to lol: make fox wat. fox staring. wat? what now? i decided to wave. i did. it did not go over well. i was standing on an elevated deck with a floodlight to my back and my shadow was literally forty feet tall. oh, hmm, yeah, that might have a bit to do with it

used to see loads of hedgehogs (mostly dead) when I was a kid, saw one this summer at 4.30am whilst waiting for lift to work - noisy as fuck!
about the only + side to living next to a 10 year dereclict house.. the fox shit stinks like fuck, they shit on the pavement at the top of the road near the shops, probably a way for them to find their way back after foraging

yeah i think they do swell up a bit, i think they do anyway. I think its alright to give them a bit of cat/dog food, i think its so rare to see one alive because they have a startling propensity to get run over, its like they are properly suicidal
