get the brown album>

start @ track 3>> lush3.1 and let it play

the best seamlessly mixed 20+ minutes of music
ever made IMO.

(sorry not sure about Pi s/track)

Halcyon & on is THE BROWN ALBUM
vocal sample on that track is
ELECTRIBE 101- "the Sun SHINING"
great track

The middle of nowhere is nothing
compared to the BROWN album
Orbital have gone backwards IMO

it all depends on taste...

Finally some discussion on my favorite group.

And whatever you do get In-Sides, it is my favorite album of
all time, and it won't let you down.

In sides kicks ass!
If you can find it since it's out of print.

Also, there's a European version with a second disk with 4
remixes of the Box. Get that if you can find it

Halycon + ON + ON was also from Mortal Kombat. I believe
the song is on Orbital 1.

The US version will contain 2 discs, the second could
contain either the box long version, or the saint/sinner/ &
halcyon remix. I got the latter.

Halycon is an absolutely amazing track...however so is SPARE
PARTS EXPRESS! omg, what a track ,I don't see why Middle Of
Nowhere got slagged so much, it sampled newround!

I LOVED spare parts express from the moment i first heard
it. the rest of the album though - not as good.

"Halcyon + On + On" is only on one Orbital album, 'Orbital
2' [aka the Brown album].

"It's a Fine Day" is by Opus III.

the first press of the US 'In Sides' came w/ a second disc
that not only had the whole 'The Box' single on it but also
the 'Times Fly' single. the other US second disc had the
'Saint' single and "Halcyon (live)". please don't spread
diseased info.

offline xlr from Boston (United States) on 2002-04-19 01:16 [#00183366]

My second disc had The Saint, The Sinner, a remix of Satan,
and the live Halcyon.

offline SPD from United States on 2002-04-19 01:39 [#00183412]

'The Saint' single including what was on the Saint single
("Sinner"). "Satan" yah, that was on there to promote the
newer 'Satan Live' single that came out around that time.
best part about that Satan live single was the yellow disc 3
that had that manic live recording of "Chime" at the v96
fest. the original seems kinda flat compared to it.

I picked it up for £1 the other day just to see what it was
like. Its really poor. It sounds like some average dance
music from 10 years ago. Give it up I say.

That's fine if you think that way, but I find much more to
their work than just 'average' dance music. If you had all
their releases like me you could see why I appreciate them
as my fav. artist. I'm not going to go into detail
explaining to you why, because evidently you assume their
just 'average' dance music.

I love Orbital... In Sides is a fantastic album, one which
I'm listening to right now actually... Adnans may just be
their best song (from what I've heard)... I want to get The
Brown Album, and Snivilisation, and then I'll be happy...
and Orbital 1 will come some time... :)

i absolutely love orbital

i especially like
- the brown album
- snivilization
- in sides
- peel sessions (get this!)

they've done loads of stuff besides the albums (a bit like
aphex twin i suppose)

recently they've been hit & miss (a bit like aphex twin i
suppose) but i think its to do with getting rid of their
record label (a bit like...

Thanks, SPD for setting it straight (Opus3).

Who the hell are electribe101 anyway?

Orbital used to rule.

Orbital's new album is new ground. They're trying new
things out. I mean if they didn't they'd be
boring/repetitive.

Orbital still rules, sure The Alltogether wasn't very
good(except disc 2), but I love all of their other
releases.

Time for some Out There Somewhere Part 1 and 2.

their "retrospective collection" Orbital Work 1989-2002 is
not supposed to be "the end", but the "new beginning", as
they've said.
good news, isn't it?
