its painful that they have this mask of subjectivity for
every answer, you can tell most of them want to say that's
preposterous but they have been programmed to police their
own thoughts

Whats interesting to me is when they get older how will they
rectify what they have been told with the indifferent
reality that faces them, I reckon it will cause a lot of
anguish an depression, Its not good

they dont want to offend.

cuase some people do actualy curl up on the floor and scream

then people come over

then the person shouts rape or something.

arrests then take place.

it is kinda like that Red dwarf ep.

i forgot rimmer named the bbc.

people get upset about bbc very easy

bbc is like a family member to some.

i think ben elton nik named the beeb 'Aunty', did he not?

yes a lot of my fave programs have come from the bbc and I
am thankful for that, but its entirely too much of a
politicalised organisation, I suppose it always will be, but
not it plops out blatant propaganda

I noticed it started really going down the shitter 94 or so
when they had Philippa forester on tomrrows world, that sort
of condescending presenting style, loads of uninteresting
medical stories in a program that should have just been tech

liking, but I don't know if that is his intention,

might be, better than shouting and waving arms around.

not as bad as louis theorox ...he could win a million and
save 5000 children from a fire ....and still not give any
facial expressions away. lol.

His documentaries are often really interesting, but there is
always something that I found troubling cynical about the
guy,

laugh much though but perhaps I was tired, will watch it
again

Rimmer would not mop a floor that easy. He is only
interested in promotion. He would have to be manipulated
into believing promotion was more likely if he took on such
tasks so that with manual labour experience he would make a
better supervisor when becoming an officer. Or maybe there
was a special supervisor officer rank that he could apply
for under a new JMC scheme that arrived in a late mailbag.
This could have been all clearly explained by Kryten in lie
mode for the audience....heck i am not a writer but there
was no strong motive for rimmer to do this floor moping, to
(in his mind)lower himself, it was weak.

All kryten did was throw a mop at rimmer with some scheme to
delegate a task to him so to create more time for kryten!
...Rimmer would normally flat out refuse and make fun of
his head as per usual. Has lister programmed kryten to throw
objects at senior staff?

if kryten had rimmer thinking he could become an officer
...and had him literally cleaning the whole ship to become a
cleaning supervisor officer,
how could rimmer fail?Rimmer would be so excited. He knows
what he has to do..experience all cleaning duties and then
simply apply. it could have been a race too during the
election. if he becomes an officer he would not need to be
elected. As he would control the dispensing machines via
administration control.

At the end of the show he could find out he had been lied
too by lister, it might have made a good ending and with
being locked up with talkie toaster and losing the
election.. that would have been funny.

yeah Rimmer sometimes seems a bit off this season, and dave
as well

its usually kryten who doesnt seem any different and Cat is
mostly the same, i did like the ending alot

Talkie toatser sounded exactly the same which i loved, its
the voice of old kryten

sort of like the queeg ep.

had rimmer and lister mopping the floor with the big reveal
at the end.

one of the best endings. so funny when watching it first
time ...no one knew it was holly.

offline freqy on 2017-10-27 21:45 [#02535431]

where the hek is holly?

and why does no one say to hatty when she is on stage at
those one stage interview comic con type events..." why are
you not in the new shows?"

seems weird ....holly was a main central focus to the show.
its what gave it depth.

yeah holly has lots of the best gags

i get the impression it was rob who wrote lister, craig
charles seems like he is phoning it in on some episodes as
well

it seems a bit strange to me that series XI and XII were
recorded back to back as series XI seems quite a bit better
on first impressions

There are lots of great moments. and i am glad they have
been made.

i was just picking on one moment that prevents the full
envelopment of the experience.

With the older episodes you kinda forget your watching them
because there are little to no mistakes and things like the
holly hop drive on and off button are intentionally naf, so
things like that do not count.

the newer stuff seems to lack fine detail and tuning at
times.

so it takes a another watch or two to get over certain
things.

The older eps you watch them again because they are close to
perfect.

or maybe its because i grew up with the older series?

but i feel the same way about star wars and star trek.

are wittier and the characterisations are more on point

even new red dwarf is still good generally, the peak of the
show was so good thats why i have an extra critical eye on
the new ones

flintstones audience.

it was last episode the beginning bit with kryten and
rimmer, cos nothing that funny wads said for 5 minutes well
didnt make me laugh anyway

i dont think it has to make me laugh all the time. i like
the relationship stuff.

but its when the audience laughs for minimal reasons...im
thinking.. why are they laughing?

again im brought out the envelopment of the show. if that
actually makes sense,not sure.

yes its weird really, i thnk my laugh threshold is quite
high, I see some people laughing their heads off at lame
jokes on bbc variety programs and I wonder how they could
possibly find it hilarious

i think they may be crazy people who write letters and say
...i know when to laugh ...i know how to make your show
funnier, let me be in your audience

There is one guy in the young ones, a big deep laugh you
hear from time to time. he is great.

he is in a few other shows too...if i spot his laugh ill
link you to him, lol

but he laughs at the right times. but when the audinece is
quiet...its strange..

dawn french made a joke that she used to sit in with the
audience and laugh at Jennifers jokes in great effort to try
and make her appear funny for the ratings. " do you
rememebr this one. whhhaaaaa hhaaaaa haaaa" yeah, that was
me all along!!! " no this is preposterous i am funny, stop
it"
