"Kryten trapped them in a glass jar out of Lister's laundry
basket, and forced them to obey his commands again, ordering
the nanos to rebuild Red Dwarf (and give Lister a new arm
which he lost during "Epideme"), which the nanos do, even
upgrading Red Dwarf to it's original 'intended' state before
the JMC made 'cut-backs'. This included bio-organic
ship-wide networking, a new antimatter reactor, and a
Karaoke Bar on C Deck."

"The nanos eventually got bored of living inside the
mechanoid and escaped from Kryten while he and the rest of
the Red Dwarf gang were exploring the ocean moon where the
SSS Esperanto was found ("Back to Reality", Series V).

Using the Psi-Scan and a glass jar to find the nanos in
Lister's dirty laundry aboard Starbug ("Nanarchy")
The nanobots then escaped in a tiny version of Red Dwarf
they created leaving the crew stranded in Starbug, and Holly
trapped on the planet they made out of the excess material
from the large Red Dwarf. "

Yes when it got blocked in his arteries, yes the premise was
really good. Its something ive been thinking about a lot
lately, perception filters. If you take how polarised
internet politics are, you realise we are experiencing a
rudimentary form of this already. People are choosing their
news sources and political associates and acting completely
brainwashed. Then never step out of their own domains to
challenge their own thoughts on a fundamental level. Its not
just echo chambers now these people are living in a parallel
of reality and truth. Its very scary.

For instance fox news, they lie so freqyently and distort
the truth constantly, yet its presented as acturate
impeachable information. I was reading about manipulation
and someone was saying if you tell someone the sky is green
constantly in an authorative, confident manner constantly
people will start to believe what your saying whole
heartdly. The self abdicate any semblence of critical
thinking.

not you though hyperedyflax

if you were told the sky was green you wouldn’t believe
them ever would you?

i know grass isn't green ...its only appears green when
green light reflects off it.

with the lights out nothings any colour at all.
everything is colourless.

weird.

the term I heard being thrown around lots nowadays is
gaslighting. I would hope not, I cant tell, I think everyone
Is susceptible to this sort of crap to a greater or lesser
degree. If I'm absolutely sure of something I keep testing
that assumption any time it conflicts with some new piece of
evidence
