i looked up his wiki article i wasnt sure if he was still
alive, 84, doing whatever your passion is, is the key to

folk music mostly, irish fiddle etc. and cream/eric clapton
et al. he's not a big music listener but nothing he likes is
boring, at least. i remember he put on klezmer music when i
was around ten and i thought it sounded like a bunch of
little bugs having a frantic party.

my dad was born in 1935 so there was a real generational gap
between us musically anything after 1940s probably sounded

I think Alan and Piers are one of the best comedy duos of
all time. Piers absolutely sweet, kind and forgiving.
Whereas Alan is pure selfish, greedy and a sadist. I love
it. Not as whacky as Richie, but the cleverness of the
writing makes up for it.

the insane copper in the first episode was funny, made me
