i have to admit, i am conflicted. i expected this site to go dark; avatars got fixed instead. i'm glad to see xlt remain intact. so, i feel a tad guilty about even speaking up about this, but it's nagging at me. avatars were busted for ages. people were stuck with the same avatar for years and years. it actually became sort of an xlt joke; freqy will forever have the same avatar in my head. with the frozen-in-time avatars gone, entire segments of old threads will make even less sense than they did in the first place. but the site is still here, and i'm glad for that, so whatever. furthermore, avatar upload working again is rad. but i do wish the old ones would have been preserved, as i will miss some of them. |

I think it's great seeing all these new avatars. There was something romantic before but this is much nicer. |

i'm guessing xlt's new server (vax 11/750 with eagle drives) simply couldn't fit all those old avatars in RAM. sacrifices must be made, i suppose |

have you all heard ampi max's monster guts upload? it is awesome click on the .wav download, its far better than the 128khz? stream. |

wow, im literally gutted! i started blank, glad i had mine backed up. still had some older avys left in a folder. thought i had a couple of other members avys aswell, but couldnt find the folder. gonna be fun to see what some peeps come up with now :) |
