It's really sad. I live in a french speaking country and admired their wit and courage. Some of the best french satirical cartoonists are dead. I wonder if they will manage to find the culprits, as this was no suicide attack. One of the victim's last cartoon was someone telling a suicide bomber "well you've been quiet" to which he replies "we have 'till the end of january to send you our good wishes. They also sent a tweet to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi wishing him a happy new year. These guys had bodyguards but weren't scared. |

This is not just me reading something in the news and posting it to get liked. It means a lot to me. You could have had something interesting to say, but you're so feeble with words. You come across as a boring, heartless freak who claims to like art, who claims to be different. You're obsessed with this idea that people here are desperate to be liked. Is it because no one likes you? When they got to the second floor they knew exactly who was going to be there, and they shot each person after he gave out his name. My first thought was "why would you give your name?", but God knows what happened. |

To be honest, when it comes to Islamic terrorist attacks, no ties to Western motives surprise me at this point. It's a very fertile ground for stirring common opinion. I saw the video of the police man being shot while on the ground, did you catch it? They don't look all that professional in that one, though not quite frenzied either. The Arab and Muslim demographic in France were already in a very precarious position before this. It'll be interesting to see how it's handled to say the least. Thanks, I had only seen the edited video. Seems pro to me, they shoot him from a distance but make sure he's dead, one of them screams "is he dead?" and as the other runs to check the cop, the cop goes "no I'm dead, boss". A shot in the head, no fuss, then quietly back to the car. They could have just left in a rush, but they were controlled, if slow. Also they've found two cars so far, but I'm sure it was planned so well they're now safe. I dunno. |
