I would copy the tracks for myself, and then return it. I
wouldn't put them on the internet.

yo wee°boy!

i would just say nothing about it and do as i just said
below...

even if sean booth or rob brown, the musicians i admire
most, lost unreleased works on such a device, i would do the
same thing...

i'd return it.....because if it happened to me....i'd want
it returned and i'd be mighty grateful.

if i were RJD.....i'd prolly have the honest person over to
watch me work or something like that....=0)

don't forget there were 282 unreleased of jenkinsons tracks
on there, too!

i'd send it to jenkinson so he would go and be a cunt to
richard about losing all of his music. cos theyd probably do
a song about it

I'm a big Pearl Jam fan, and there is a story that someone
stole Eddie's notebook with lyrics and songs written in it.
I would love to find that. And, I would return it.

wow. i myself have my 1st official computer-made trax on
only one CD and no other source on the planet. it lies right
in my very bedroom...

even if i did lose some trax tho, i'd just make new ones

The article in XLR8R where Richard talks about losing it.
He said he had back up of all of it.

Also, what I am really curious about is...
At the end of the interview, Richard says that He is
squarepusher? Why would he say that?

what of an asshole thing would it be if you duplicated every
song on the grand piano, recorded, and sent one track to
richard every day until there were none left? i think he
would come to get me

man.......(even though, i´d probably copy the tracks and
then return it to Richard himself)..........8(

i wouldn't even touch those trax. it would be like browsing
thru someone's cash in their lost wallet imo

I just wonder if certain artists make music in disguise. I
know RDJ and Squarepusher are different people. But what if
they were not?

I think that Slipknot are actually NSYNC and the Backstreet
Boys together...
Think about it...
Slipknot has 9 members, and they all wear masks...
It's a commercial music conspiracy!

offline cygnus from nowhere and everyplace on 2002-04-17 06:18 [#00179331]
Points: 11920 Status: Regular

you can hear (esp. on drukqs) that rdj is influenced by
[]pusher, it wouldn't be too much of a shock if indeed they
were.

but there's evidence proving otherwise. :/ interesting tho

maybe it's all a big trick on us by autechre and they are
actually all of the artists on Warp Records

offline pachi from yo momma (United States) on 2002-04-17 06:22 [#00179334]
Points: 8984 Status: Lurker

yea it seems like drukqs evidently has pusher elements in
it. i still like the piano stuff on there the best cos i
think it's the most original trend he's presented in his
music so far...

offline zguru from Lindale (Texas) (United States) on 2002-04-17 06:22 [#00179335]

I'm sure RDJ and Squarepusher have input on eachother's
work.

that's co-owned by mira calix, dj rap, sonique and bjork.
(can anyone else think of any WO-MEN that make their own
beats, offhand? sorry for including sonique and dj rap, but
it's a pretty "barren" field.)

ahaaha. barren.

i wonder if mira just uses sean's equipment when he lets
her. and from that she releases an album :/

i'm sure they share synths and software, but i'm also sure
mira has her own stuff and has come up with different ways
to use hubby's shiznit.

If I got that stupid MP3 player, first I'd copy all of the
MP3s for myself, then I'd put them all on the internet. I'd
make sure they reach far and wide so everyone gets them.

I know it makes me sound evil, but I think it'd be great to
just crush someone like that, control their life. Hehehehehe
OK I am evil.

Seriously, if I did find it I'd never return it (I'd want to
keep the MP3 player), copy all the music for myself, and
send Richard an anonymous e-mail telling him it's safe,
giving him a few tracknames as proof... that way I'd be
happy (a new MP3 player and loads of unreleased AFX tracks),
he'd be happy (he even said he loved the idea of someone
having it and keeping the songs to themself, plus he's a
millionare and he can afford another player) EVERYONE would
be happy.

And I'd upload about 10 tracks, claiming I made them, and
advertising here or on Joyrex.com - just so I can sit back
and hear what people would say if a decent track was posted
(instead of all the usual bullshit)...... Geographyhorse
would probably explode.

offline Fucker from Leeds (United Kingdom) on 2002-04-17 07:38 [#00179392]

and I'd e-mail him saying "releasing so-and-so on an album,
or else I'll put all the tracks up on the net"

anonymously of course

hey what if you found an mp3 player full of unreleased mira
calix mp3s?
FREE MP3 PLAYER!!!!

I know the music is more important than the player, but I'm
just telling you why I'd keep it and not give it back.

it'd be good to send it out as your own demo to various
labels, including rephlex.
imagine gettin letters back sayin "please try harder, these
tunes are shit"
