Greetings chaps, I just got back from my trip to New York after a 5 hour flight on 30grams of Thai Kratom, I feel a little groggy, but I'm trying to keep that low frequency mindset. It's true that some of you felt teased and bullied by Mark, at times it was light fun, but other times it was just appalling. He appeared in a Bjork video ' Declare Independence' in which he appears suspended vertically as a puppet master controlling the minds of some far east communist country.. like North korea perhaps. However, what JivverDicker was really portraying was his trolling mastery to a few members on this forum. It might seem hard to compartmentalize his character as a nice guy / playful cunt, but he really was a good bloke in person. |

Hah. Best postmortem thread yet. My first exposure to LFO was the usual. However it was probably the Enter the Void pre-film credit roll that really got me, this guy.. Mark LFO jivver, this bit, this guy. I had my real 'aw shit T.T' moment there when I was rewatching it last week. Sidenote, he was a grade A asshole on the forums, yeah we have a word for that now 'troll' but forget the entire internet terminology that could even categorize Mr. Bell as a 'troll', strip that and you have a grade A+ asshole that was far more articulate and witty than dog_belch among others. For this, he was legendary even without his celebrity. Just wanted to give my 2 cents. Cause really, what can that even buy? |

For some reason you can't accept that the good comes with the bad and would prefer to take on a tone of vindictive justice served by all those he was an asshole to. I started out by stating that I missed his flair, as controversial as it could be. What is wrong with that? He was entertaining. He was also often a fucking goof in here. The sad thing is, the people who keep bringing Jivver up for his 'trolling' consider themselves trolls, or are just boring dupes that were too lacking confidence and ability to speak up at the time. Reeks of a desperation for acceptance from a bloke they'll never get it from now, which would explain the difficulty they have of moving on. This site has always amused and more importantly been a great source of music for me, even if I have never joined in as much as I could have. It's sad to think how much this place has eroded. So many decent posters have left since I joined, I don't think I can be asked now. |

That's sort of the bittersweet part. In one respect some of us can speak more freely in his absence, and in another respect speaking of how much of a shithead he was on here without having him able to go for the jugular (for the sake of winning) causes the predictable (but a little later than I expected) shame for speaking of the dead this way response. I think I will spend an evening going though 6000+ pages to see what there is to dig up. Jivver's justice is surely missed. |
