Jar-you should check out Pattons newest project: Tomahawk, they're awesome....not quite as mainstream as FNM but more so then Mr. Bungle, I love their debut (and only) cd

i met fnm when they toured australia for the real thing album. my best friend at the times uncle was there manager. twas cool, hung out with jim martin and roddy.
mike was real quiet and didnt come out with us but hey, it was all cool.
i used to be a huge fan too, got most there albums, but havent listened to them in ages.
i have a pretty rare version of " as the worm turns' its a studio version remake, with mike patton singing. the other version is on "we care allot" and has that other dude singing, its called arabian dance or something.

I don't dig Fantomos too much, it's not really music you can get into, it's more like you're outside looking in at all this chaotic music, FNM made me feel more involved in the music

yo, faith no more is cool man. Look at all the "new" music that is obviously influenced by em. Linkin Park has that song that ends with a very familiar piano fade out; like in Epic.

You know, I never put those two together... (Epic + The End)... fuckers!
Yeah, I mean all the nu-metal lot love FNM... much to Patton's disgust :o) I think King For A Day has moments where the influence is so obvious it's criminal, but they're just untouchable...

He's so versatile that he could be sampled endlessly... check out 'Adult Themes For Voice' for proof

Has anyone got the album by Dan the Automator with him on? Any good?
I still love their stuff (FNM) but wonder if its nostalgia. All this nu-metal makes me cringe and wonder if the stuff I used to love is that bad. I really hope that the music has just got shit.

Yeah Jonesy i have that automator cd with Patton its called "Lovage... music to make love to your old lady by"
its pretty funny kinda hip/hop r&b with mike patton doing his lounge singer voice.
also includes appearances by Del, afrika bambata, sean lennon, meho hatori. and a bunch of other folk
ive said it before... everything automator touches turns to gold

ok kids check out a song Mike Patton did with Kid 606 - bad ass idm pop
track Patton did with Sepultura and Chino from deftones Lovage was a short breathed but recent project featuring Kid Koala and Dan the Autmator - saw them live
Bungle rulz; Fantomas rulz; ofcourse FNM rulz; Tomahawk is krap compared to FNM
also Bungle doing the following traxx are must haves: Existential Blues Hit Me Baby One More Time Super Mario Bros. {+ other 8bit tunez} Patton;s solo albums are a must checker outers FNM;s 'Songs to Make Love To' is a great ep, has 'easy'+ 'das schutzenfest' and also look for 'I Need Your Love'
oh yeah, and speak of influences I once saw Bungle open up for System of a Down and Incubus; bungle gott booed off stage

Well the stroy behind our beloved Patton goes as follows from what I understand: since he picked up with FNM replacing their old singer when he was quite young (just 18 i think) going on tour around the country and all made him wig out a bit (like you couldn't tell). All the pressure made become a weirder and weirder, and that I believe is how he explains why he finds "people eating shit more entertaining" then other hobbies

well, i don't know much about faith no more considering i was about 4 when The Real Thing came out, but I was watching their "Video Croissant," and I had never realized how young Mike Patton looks in comparison to the rest of the band -- I hopped online and found out that he was just 18 when he replaced Chuck Mosely, so that's where my question comes from. Pretty young age to be that big!
