I think I prefer the youtube barbican concert version. Even
though it a live recording has some life to it with the
swing piano noise. you tube video linky Discuss xltronic
hardcore.

Its not as distinct as the "piano tracks" on Druqks, which
had an uneasy combination of pastoral and something creaky
and dark. It actual reminds me of Nigel Tufnel in Spinal
Tap;
Nigel Tufnel: It's part of a trilogy, a musical
trilogy I'm working on in D minor which is the saddest of
all keys, I find. People weep instantly when they hear it,
and I don't know why.
Marty DiBergi: It's very nice.
Nigel Tufnel: You know, just simple lines
intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really
influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between
those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really. It's sort
of...
Marty DiBergi: What do you call this?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, this piece is called "Lick My
Love Pump".

I think, on more sober reflection, you have to listen more
closely, the quiet bird song makes you turn up the volume,
and you hear all the wonderful sustain. It reminds me, again
more seriously, of Talk Talk's Mark Hollis just hitting one
key on the piano and letting it go on and thinking how could
he improve on that.

In short; lovely stuff.

yeah, the sustain sort of rubs every inch of you, fades off
to birds, then some more keys wake you back up. makes me
miss having a piano.

it should have been a recording of the flying piano,
to hear those doppler-changing frequencies...
