Which is more IDM, Scotland or the Act of Union?

I say Scotland should go for it, England is a moribund
polluted crowded craphole where you are condemned to a life
of zero-hour-contract slavery unless you are lucky enough to
be born with a PPE degree tattooed to your ass. That's how
it seems when I read the news anyway. Is it actually like
that?

(PS you have great booze though)

Scots just need to remember that the North Sea oil is nearly
gone though

even tho you can barely slide a rizla between the main 3
please don't condemn us to a country where it'll be a tory
fuckfest basically forever. we love gingers and bagpipes and
lazy stereotypes! oh and faslane

in all seriousness I don't blame them, perhaps they will
model themselves on what Scandinavia is doing.

FWIW I think Scots independence might be good for England.
If they vote yes it would lead to a lot of soul-searching
amongst politicians and parties in London, surely? It
certainly seems like they need a whopping kick-in-the-nads
of some sort.

Scotland would likely follow a more social-democratic route.
If they succeed then it would also be a model for English
parties to emulate.

This is how I feel. Please don't leave Scotland, we actually
need your presence.

"Is it actually like that?"
No, and you're a cunt.

The Tories will love it if Scotlang fucks off, so they only
have to worry about starving the North to death.

A nation that prides itself on cross dressing and whiskey is
OK in my book.

PS I mean it's like that because of the people with
PPE degrees.

the world needs to run as one complete united unit without
countries, or as small communities e.g villsges that can
function without fossil fuelled transport, e.g solar horses.
things in between dont work.

and without strapping up faraday hat, which is more likely
come whatever apocalypse scenario you can posit? and
actually may allow what we've already already nobbed up the
envirobum? mind you a lot of co-ops turn hierarchical very
quickly, apparently we quite like somebody to tell us what
to do as long as we have the ability to upload images of
artisanal foot-high burgers or whatever we get
post-disaster. better fucking taste, i bet

It should be Obama running everything then we can have all
the financial institutions in complete power , them start to
get rid of each third world country one by one starting with
Scotland

I think this guy is on the ball. People all over seem
totally disillusioned with the London government, perhaps
Scots independence would light the spark for change in
England?

I think that's also what my fav author, Iain M Banks, said
in an interview once IIRC

UK politics is fun!

strapping up faraday hat. i don't know what that means?
faraday-cage-grade tin-foil beanie, probably? your
incredibly english writing is fascinating to me like a
mantis shrimp.

in any case, yes, you wind up with some charismatic
scoundrel at the top arranging "marriages" and then the
state of utah throws you in the pen.

you could call religion an "operating system" of sorts.
school is application software. what's needed is the whole
stack done properly, with no bullshit, and distilled into a
simple, easily-translated document. at the end you say
"please reprint this" and then use ion cannons to fire
pamphlets all over the planet from a series of
geosynchronous satellites. nothing less will do

Vote's tomorrow, any scots here?

I hope they vote yes. From my faraway viewpoint it doesn't
actually seem to be about dumb nationalism, but more to do
with getting fairer political representation etc

As an English person im ambivalent about it, on one hand I
totally understand Scottish people wanting to reduce the
influence of Westminster based politics, where everything
outside of London seems almost like an after thought, and on
the other hand there are loads of socialist voters in
Scotland who balance the politics in the Whole of the UK, so
if they leave it means more conservative governments for the
foreseeable future

The Scottish independent or not? Why? What's the difference?
You live on one island and speak almost the same
language..for foreigners it's all the same besides the
better whiskey and higher hills and skirts, you already have
your identity..what will be better for the scotch when you
get independent? I don't get it..it's probably money right?
