honestly, i know of lou reed squarely because of metal machine music. i think it was from a link off of mefi. to this day, i still have not (knowingly) heard any of reed's stuff other than metal machine music. it's not contempt, or even disinterest... simply haven't found the time. i love metal machine music, though, i often work samples from it into my tracks as a little private joke. |
