look. after pearl harbour there were a series of prominent figures who perpetuated the myth that the attack from the japanese was allowed to happen by the american government. pearl harbour was apparently a secret plan to push us into a war that benefited business interests at the expense of the american public. this view inevitably became tied up with holocaust denial. these theories were cooked up before, during, and too soon after the events were still unfolding. 9/11 and the iraq war fit this pattern. the protocols of zion (the original conspiracy that never left us) is back and is urging the muslim world to revisit a sort of arab nationalism (which is NOT islam) which is tempting the dissatisfied toward more extreme views. meanwhile respectable public speakers are peddling their scepticism and hatred of the western powers to a more than willing crowd. the creepiest part is how universal the anti american/israeli feeling is. you'll find it absolutely everywhere especially amongst the young but age is no defining category here. class, ethnicity, geography, gender draw no real borders. you may not be one of them but pretty much everyone else is. the other time these kind of theories enjoyed disemination on a world wide scale was after the first world war and, of course, before the second. |

Imagine if wars and violence and power were settled with keyboard and guitar improv battles. So a country getting out of control and all "police state", would actually be "music state", where the police were indiscriminately (or actually, possibly just to "minorities") busting out crazy solos in scales you never even heard of, right to people's faces. I haven't read that many of his books or checked that many of his talks online but what i've read and the way he puts it across i've liked so far. I can understand why he annoys (the NY Times once gave him some award despite also admitting he was highly annoying). I don't understand why you linked that bit. What is it meant to say? I don't see the problem. You can't have free speech but with certain limitations. It's this whole idea that people are stupid and too easily influenced, uncapable of forming their own personal opinion. Western governments aren't evil but I do have an utter contempt for our systems. Only Switzerland is ACTUALLY democratic - the rest are elected dictatorships. And when there's only two or three parties, they're even worse - elected rotating dictatorships. Fuck wikipedia or even any sort of external research for solving these issues. The real issues lie in the fundamental workings of the human being. One can state all sorts of facts or fact-based conspiracy theories- or even have inside information from your NWO WWF auntie Wilma- but that cannot be more informative than to understand the true nature of Self. The nature of the general workings and outcome of modern westernized or world society, are merely due to humans ("in power" and "not") acting upon the feelings of inadequacy, fear, and the need to protect the sense that one can hold onto something. When one does not have the Self, there is a need to dominate others, have more, and act in a way that justifies one's pain. So without getting anymore deep into that, all world problems can be solved by spiking the world's water and air supply with high doses of MDMA, in an immediate hard and lasting week of awesome Love Power fixing. Granted, that sounds like a crude method, but it obviously would work. The fact that this solution is left from only a handful of available working solutions, shows the current state that has been set up for centuries, bound to implode into itself, in a mass of darkness, self-hatred, fear, low self-esteem, and just wanting a hug and to be told that everything is going to be okay. In IDM studies, the difference in fight frequency between clubs revolving around alcohol and raves revolving around e, shows the difference between a societal context where hatred can easily be fed and a social context where love can easily be shared. This whole world needs to go back to elementary school and learn to share.
