this is an experiment, as noone seems to discuss music anymore here, and even less nerd useless shit like this, but id like to try to complete the recent rephlex catalogue, now that its been harder than ever as they are not releasing under the name anymore... so, grant just announced a new d'arcangelo album, number 235, which has a 3d rephlex logo on the sleeve... so: 235 : d'arcangelo, audiovisual design ... 220 : eod's volume 2 219 : eod's volume 1 ... 216 : monolith's welcome so, what up with all the empty numbers? what relevance thing thing has? anyone care at all? there were also that seapunk album and the edm ones, with no rephlex correlative cat numbers... anything else im missing? |

A few gaps are releases that are already out. I can't do it right now but hopefully someone else can fill them in for you. Also noticed back catalog numbers can get released years out of sync |

The last Aleksi had APMU3, you have Ultrademon which has FFE002, the EDM A2 and B2 releases (and apparently the EDM series will be 26 releases in total, doubt it but we'll see) and Photodementia releases which didn't even have catalog numbers (or maybe that was Fig. 03/04?) I didn't even notice the new D'arcangelo album had 235, pretty strange but maybe also some kind of subtle hint that they (Grant) are not done with releasing records. Same as with this albumcover, like it's for everyone to prove that it's still Rephlex on these latest releases (just like the subtle Rephlex like logo on the EOD albums), letting everyone know they're still alive. And thank god for that. 2013 is a great year for braindance :) |

We should listen more to diamondtron... "6669080 = rx barcode prefix? 202 = cat number? 2 = bpi format code (cd=2, 12"=6 etc)? 1 = numerical check digit?"
