anyone gave this a proper listen?

first album was amazing,
every tune a masterpiece,
but this one sounds a bit bland to my ears,
not powerfull beats nor rusty synths...

im only basing my opinion on samples,
so if anyone has a more reliable opinion/review,
itll be very welcome!

I'll happily listen soon.

However, for the time being, please do tell:

are there any tracks remotely as glorious as "a new error"?

If YES, then victory for the peoples of earth.

If NO, well, time to put "a new error" on again.

I pre-ordered it, finally got it, and listened to it once.
Then I didn't pick it up again for a week. I just tried
walking around city with the album on headphones, and I felt
it worked quite good for 5-6 tracks.

I'm really not much for the soft vocals on this album, and
that is above half of the album.

The tracks 'Versions' and 'Milk' is my favorite so far. The
ladder being a bit repetitive/noisy at the end.

I can't speak for everyones taste, but for me the first one
is still the best.

I can speak for everyone's taste and most of us haven't
listened to the album.

Heard it once and I was glad I didn't order it. Still have
to listen to the first album but this album didn't encourage
me to do so :-(

The first one is great. There's a lot of tracks on there
that are bass-driven melodic monsters. In the opposite, the
tracks 'Porc#1' and 'Porc#2' together has a kind of epic
Sigur Rós'ish feel.

I loveeee the first Moderat album from start to finish,
absolutely one of my many favorites [listened to it today on
a drive :) ].

The second album is definitely a lovely album, but I'm
pretty sure I'll end up listening to the first more often in
the long run. Don't get me wrong, there are tracks on
Moderat II that compare to the first Moderat album.

But the first album was hit track after hit track, which
make it incredibly hard to follow up.

I enjoyed most of the album. It sounds like it's a grower
(as the first album was). I'm sure after a few listens I'll
find myself craving more of it's soundscape.

It's an album you should definitely listen to,
and if you havent,
LISTEN TO THE FIRST ALBUM FIRST.

much loveeeeeee xlt :)

yea, that sigur ros feel, i also thought it :) (even if its
really obvious, with that voice...) i like when the acid
comes at the end, but then the track finished and this part
is too damn short!

youre not encouraging me to get the new album, peoples,
i will probably get another album instead, like that jon
hopkins one, it sounded very powerfull and detailed...

I think it is brilliant. Works really well listening in one
sitting.

That Bad Kingdom beat.
