He's a weird/fun ol' character but the music doesn't do it
for me and most of the lyrics are ridiculous.

I am happy for him for having a nice career and making a
baby with the big bum lady. I also am happy not listening to
his musics.

Until the rapping started, I thought this was someone with
pirated copies of Vaz modular and Floops making a bad joke.
Fuck, for all I know, it could be precisely that, with some
Kanye acapellas layered over the top.

I remember my first experience of hearing his music being
Titsworth playing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0FtrbhfhWg on his radio show, about a
decade ago. I really liked how it was very original hiphop
and what was so novel about it was how genuinely touching
the subject matter was, rather than bling and hoes and
money.

Nowadays he seems to swing between mindless shit with Jay-Z*
or what I like to think of as someone who really doesn't get
IDM/our sort of music, being years behind. It's as if he's
paying someone whose submissions would be laughed off an XLT
Vibes compilation, to make so "hi tech" music for him to rap
over, but that he just doesn't get it. The fact he comes
across as so stupid and egotistical in interviews makes it
very hard to give him the benefit of the doubt in this
respect and consider that it's knowing and intentional.

Still, so long as he occasionally hits gold with things like
Runaway, I suppose I shouldn't stop listening to his output
entirely.

*(I'm referring to Kanye's contributions; Jay-Z is
not mindless, you can think of him as the Grand Theft Auto
of Gangster Rap; underneath that rough exterior, it's all
knowing smirks and nods and you can see he is smart as
fuck).

I liked his very first song Through the Wire, and still
think it's his best song. I bought his first album and it
was ok, but meh... I still he's an ass after that Taylor
Swift fiasco... who does that shit?

Funny thing about that song it was recorded in a hospital or
something and his voice was all screwed up because of the
accident he was in... but I still like that voice better
then is normal voice :P

I see Jay-Z is removing the hypen in his name. They are
going right up their royal hip-hop arses. Who do they think
they are prince?

stacy "fergie" ferguson has changed her name to ferg lion,
and then changed it again to ferg zeppelin, but not before
ferg lion topped US trends on twatter.

in other entertainment news, his lord baron kanye von
problems ministrated to his zombie followers with enough ego to fill an entire
stage.
