i think the volca is a big step, though. not some stupid workstation with processing 9000. just a fun little widget with a warranty you're free to void.

from what i know of taking them apart, it's gonna have some 741 op amps with bad soldering. but also a satanic glyph on the pcb that lets you know you're in the right place.

dollars to donuts it's the same chassis for all these; they just vary the innards and the graphics. either a ribbon or a membrane with discrete buttons.
