Love how he sneaked in a 303 just to reminds us that this is
indeed Ceephax.

somehow it reminds me of jan hammer and other 80's synthpop
crap..I agree with melack here this is not his best track.

Crap?! Jan Hammer was amazing. Miami Vice theme used an
actual Fender Strat, but his other keyboard jamz were on
guitar. How awesome cheezy can you get?

BLAST the Miami Vice theme in your room, look in the
direction of the sun whilst squinting, and slowly put on a
pair of dark sunglasses in slow-motion for like 30 seconds,
and tell me your white suit with shoulder pads doesn't look
cool! You'd be lying!

Sorry-- his other guitar jams were on keyboard. He was a
gawd of fake-guitar, keyboard action.

What people are forgetting i think is this is Ceephax.. not
Ceephax Acid Crew.. so it's going to be different from that
acid that you all love.

I love this track, i love the samples, i'm really looking
forward. It sounds like a mature and dark thing, and i like
that.

Mature and dark... ?

according to discogs:

Ceephax acid crew:
Untitled / ceephax acid crew / ceerial port / ceeland /
united acid emirates // bainted smile / radiotin / acid
legacy / hardcore esplanade / pages from ceephax /
unstoppable phax machine / capsule in space

Ceephax:
drive time / acid quakers / exidy tours / volume one & two /
eurostar acid // hardcore wick / megalift /psychtapolis

cant see the different too much, specially because the
megalift ep has tracks from united acid emirates, and
psychtapolis sounds alot like u.a.e. too... dunno, anyway im
glad this new album sounds more obscure like exidy tours...
i hope therell be a CD release too...

If anything it's label depend.

...dependent.

Don't know what to think of the samples, sounds like
something that would fit in Legowelt's label.

Well apart from Eurostar Acid, those releases are less acid
focused i think and more on anything else.

Could well be label related too though now that you mention
it..

Since it hasn't been noted elsewhere in the thread: the
digital release costs 8.08 (heh), and has all the tracks
from the vinyl (plus two others).

Not been able to listen to any of this yet thanks to work
computer blah blah etc. Good stuff though? Will probably get
hold of it anyway. Is it really like Jan Hammer?

It does have some synthpop influences, as well as other old
electronica (got a tangerine dream vibe a few times).
Overall though, the mood is very pensive and introspective,
sometimes a little dark; the closest ceephax tune I know, to
much of this, is emotinium 2 (one of my favorite ceephax
tracks, so I'm pretty happy). Saying that doesn't really do
it justice though; it's a release that surprised and
impressed me a lot, and note I'm a lover of the standard
ceephax fare as well. Lots of very interesting
experimentation.

All around a great release.

Now that I think about it, there are some similarities to
the track "capsule in space", which he released not too long
ago; so you can definitely kindof trace a trajectory.
