Video game / music combinations

What is the best music / game combination, to the point you
always associate one with the other perhaps?

Whenever I sandbox on Arkham City I always play Sheffield
Bleep Future Funk. It is like that games Dark Side of the
Moon, the mix is brilliant anyway and it lines right up with
the combos etc. I also like Vlari's Interstellar as a
sister mix to that, it has a few of the same tracks but is
kind of the 'dub' or 'midnight' take on it, if that makes
sense.

I always also associate A Link to the Past with Hardwired by
Front line Assembly because I listened to that a lot when I
played it, so now if I listen to the CD I picture Link
walking around and vice versa.

Actually, yah- when I hear pacman (like from playing Namco
Classic Collection, etc.), I think of the powerpill track.

ATR's Sick To Death with Tetris?

I have a custom playlist of my favourite stuff from Warp20
that I listen to when playing SSX.

Slightly off topic, but the built-in music in
SpeedX 3D fits particularly well with the game.

PixelJunk Eden easily has one of the best soundtracks from
the past 5 years and is one of the main reasons to own a
PS3. Don't have one myself anymore, nor do I play games much
at all these days, but fuck me, that game played with a
friend or two has made for the best times I've had gaming
over the past few years

It is also fitting to for Batman to get his pep-talk right
in the beginning of the mix.

"Hold on tight, don't let go. Whenever you feel like you're
nearing the end of your rope, don't slide off. Tie a knot.
Keep hanging, keep remembering, that it ain't nobody bad
like you." *glide kick*
