friend's mum sent a delivery of OMAHA STEAKS to us. i find this odd, didn't south park do a musical number about something like this? in any case, it just arrived via UPS, and it had DRY ICE keeping it cool. i stowed the steaks and now i have some giant hunks of dry ice sublimating in my kitchen. before they melt, is there anything "cool" i can do with them ??? |

Yah, the metal to dry ice thing can be startling, like aliens are coming. One time in the early 90's, my grandma was breaking off chunks of dry ice with her bare hands (like holding one side and snapping off pieces on the other side), and it was like, WTF your hands must be dead..... Anyway, but I used that dry ice to put in a glass with some small fish from the koi pond (dunno what kind of fish). Anyway, those fish eventually became really slow and I think died, which I now realize is proooolly from the carbon dioxide. Poor fishies. I'm sorry. ...I just thought the smoke look was cool..... |
